abort command with parameter ?

Hello,

Why the abort command is not clearing the queue when called with any parameter ? it seems like it's voluntary, but it's not documented.

I'm going to guess this is a dev thing, to allow looking at the queue with a debugger without it changing constantly but I might be wrong.
