EDIFACT ORDERS 91-1

Hi all,

I am trying to parse EDIFACT ORDERS 91-1 with Smooks framework (I assume so since my message contains UNH+1+ORDERS:1:911:UN segment). I am not able to find any mapping model for this old EDI flavour. Looking in maven repo I can find D93A as the earliest version.

Does it mean I need to write one myself?

Welcome to the forum Robert! Yeah, 91-1 isn't currently supported. I opened the 91-1 directory archive and its structure looks very different from the newer directories that the cartridge supports. There are a couple of ways how to go about this.

• As suggested, you could write the schema for this version yourself. In Smooks 2, the schema is written in DFDL.
• Fork the EDI cartridge repo and modify the schema generator to generate schemas for the 91-1 version (PRs are welcome).
  
• Create a feature request in the EDI cartridge and hopefully someone will pick it up
• Sponsor the development of this feature (most likely the quickest way to get this implemented)

Hi Claude,

Thanks for your prompt reply. I am using smooks with WSO2 6.6.0. As far as I know smooks 1.5.1 is used there. I will try to write my own schema then. I will share results when I am done.
