Goal: To sell apps, not source codes.
Problem: All the marketplaces i have found are for developers to sell source code.
Question: Can i sell apps without source codes here?
Note: My app is not a store app.

My guess would be that the official brands want to be able to moderate, control, maintain quality etc. apps being used on their systems and prevent problems or damage to users (which could have a detrimental impact on their reputation).

I consider it as there is no famous website to sell apps, only codes. At the current moment i am confused why there are so many official app stores, but not 3rd party one to obtain all operation systems + ability to sell non store apps.

Assuming that you bought the Extended License for this app template, then you are allowed to sell copies of your End Product. However, your End Product must be something that incorporates the Item as well as other things, so that it is larger in scope and different in nature than the Item.

Now, assuming that your product fits the definition of larger in scope and different in nature, I think it is always better to contact the author and get written permission to build and sell what you have in mind.

@charlie4282 You mean that permission from the author is required even for using a thing like WP Bakery in a theme? The extended license definition should be enough, as long as the different in nature thing is taken very seriously. Am I wrong?

I have been doing iOS programming since late 2018 using Swift programming language. Everyday is a new day to learn something so I am here to show you people something that is less touched in the market.

There comes a time when I came across the CodeCanyon (Envato) platform and I was unable to find any material related to publishing the app on this platform. I searched a lot but all in vein. Somehow I managed to crack their algorithm and I successfully uploaded two iOS apps for one of my employer. Links of those apps are given at the end of this article. Let me show you step by step process of doing the CodeCanyon publication process.

You will land on a massive form and now you must be banging your head against the wall saying "what am I supposed to do now?". No worries. Each and every field is explaining its own requirements. Let me make it more easy for you. But before moving forward, let me tell you something.

First of all, write a brief name of your application in such a way that it covers most of your app core modules. E.g. I built an app that was related to fitness and has firebase cloud firestore implemented in it. So my app name goes something like this "FitnessPower Firebase Firestore Fitness, Gym, Yoga iOS Full Application". This will help your app to popup on top if the searching keywords matches with your app name title.

Now you have to write a thorough description about your app in HTML form. Yes folks, HTML. CodeCanyon accepts HTML format or Plain text which I do not recommend. Learn some of the basic HTML and don't use CSS not even In-Line CSS as it is not allowed in the Description box.

Now comes the hard part to tackle. There are certain fields you need to fill in order to proceed with your submission process. There is a button labels as Choose File(s). You will have to select the files from your system first then select them one by one to fill all the fields respectively. Let's go through them one by one.

Thumbnail: This will be your app logo. So make a copy of your app's logo and adjust it's dimensions as mentioned below the Thumbnail field i.e "JPEG or PNG 80x80px"
Main Files: These files are core of your app submission process. If you do not follow the CodeCanyon standards, your submission will be rejected and in worst case scenario it gets Hard Rejected. So this will be a ZIP folder named as "Source File v1.0" that contains two more folders. One named as "Documentation v1.0" and the other will be your actual project folder. The "Documentation v1.0" folder again contain 3 files. Assets folder, App Icon and a proper documentation file in PDF. The assets folder is the once that Xcode contains. AppIcon will be your iOS application icon. And lastly the documentation will be a step by step guide of your application (How to setup the project? How to setup the modules and third party libraries etc). See below screenshot for visual representation of the folder structure I mentioned above.

Inline Preview Image: This image will display when the user search your app and the app appears in the search items. This must be 590x300 JPEG as mentioned by the CodeCanyon guidelines.
Preview Screenshots: This is also a ZIP folder contains some of your app screenshots named as "Preview ScreenShots". Take is as the images when submitting the app on Apple AppStore. So yeah these images will represent your app.
Optional Live Preview and Optional Video Preview: You can skip this part as I also did. LoL (not League of Legends :D).

Files Included: Choose which type of files are included in your project. Though my project contained .swift extension files but it was not mentioned in the selection area, so I just chooses .h, .m and .xib/.nib.

Demo URL: Place any external link here that links to your app. I placed AppStore link here so that the CodeCanyon user can also download the app from the AppStore and view the demo version of the app.
Video Preview Resolution: Again you can skip this part as I also did.

In this section you will set the price for your app. There are two type of licences on CodeCanyon. Regular License and Extended License. See CodeCanyon Licences Section to know more about them. While setting the price of the app you must remember that the Envato takes its huge share of percentage on each single sale of your item. If you are Exclusive Author then deducted will be less, if not an Exclusive Author then deduction will be huge. Apart from that deduction, $4 fees will also be deducted by Envato as Buyer fee.

I hope this will helps you in your next or first submission on CodeCanyon, ThemeForest and other similar platforms. If I somehow missed something then do let me know. Suggestions and comments are much appreciated.
