Cheap slicer or mandolin

Get the real thing, not a cheap plastic knockoff...the cheap one cuts well but lacks safety features :)

I have to explain to my guitar teacher why I'm limited to a pick until my thumb heals...he's a friend and will hassle me about it!

Words well spoken!  I took a good size divot out of my finger with a flea market version.  Fortunately for me, it happened in a gap between the 12 times I tried learning to play guitar!
