Here is a video about the chamber vacume machines They cost more but they
are more versatile and maybe cheaper in the long run if they really last for
a long time I know I have burned thru two food savers in the last few yrs
and my present one isn't working as well as it should . They are over a
grand though
Maybe worth looking at

Link was broken, when the address is that long the tiny URL is the best way...............but thanks for the heads up.

There is an excellent price on the Pro 3, the lowest I have seen and I need another machine. The Magic Vac has never worked well for me. I used a Foodsaver Pro before it and it was great until the heat would no longer seal bags.

Very nice price on the Pro III. Has anyone here ever purchased from
this company or familiar with them?

On the broken link...you can also put the brackets at the start and end
to keep it from breaking...<link>

Copy and paste fixes that. The link isn't really "broken", it just
wraps via your email client and puts in a line break, thus you only
see "part" of the link lighting up when you click on it.
I saw that right way, copied, pasted and went right to the URL.

That was my next question.............if it is too good to be true............ I'm seriously thinking of ordering one, that Magic Vac is driving me crazy...........but I am still thinking about the double piston game pro.

I have had brackets not work............tiny URL is best in MHO.

I can't find the machine he was talking about on that website.

Brackets won't work correctly if you have an extra space or spaces.
I've never had brackets fail, so long as they are formatted properly
without spaces between the bracket and the URL at either or both ends.

John,
When you get to the home page, there is a search tab on the left. Look
for VacMaster and it will take you to all of the models. The one in the
link was the SVP-15. Nice and nicely expensive!

Merrill,

I sent an e-mail this morning asking a question about the foodsaver at the
company that Roy sent to the list.

This is their reply, I think you will find it
interesting...................I still can't see how they can sell it so much
cheaper than anyone else. I am right on the verge or ordering the Pro 111.

"Is the Foodsaver Pro 111 the latest model. The foodsaver web site has a
"plus" after the name.

Hi,

Pro 111 is the best model Foodsaver has. The "plus" model might just be a
better kit when rolls are included. We sell rolls. Gamesaver has been
discontinued because of malfunctions.

Thank You,

Alex G.

John,
That is interesting!  I hadn't heard of any problems with the game savers.  According to the info I have found, the GameSaver comes off of the same assembly line under a different name.  Maybe it's just the double pump design?  I guess I'm still a little hesitant to order from them.  Got a grey market camera once when I was trying to get a deal.  Glad I never needed to use the "warranty"!!!

Interesting. What is the price for their 11" rolls? I just ordered and
received 90ea 11" Rolls from Jarden and the best they would do for me was
$6.99 a roll with free shipping. Not a great deal, but I was desperate at
the time. I still haven't found a suitable substitute for the official Tilia
bag.

Merrill,

I just got off the phone with the Foodsaver corp. sales and the gamesaver HAS NOT been discontinued. There was some misspelling and grammatical errors on the Kitchen Gadgetry website and that bothered me. I would rather pay more from Kohl's and know that they will stand behind it. I asked the Foodsaver woman if they had a list of authorized dealers and she did not know, but did not think so.............she was nice, but could only read the description of the machines. Usually they will come down in price and throw in some extras...........but not today.
