I do not own one, but have cooked on Horizon smokers and believe them to be of great quality and value.  More important is the customer service and quality.  Roger stands behind each smoker.  There is no factory or mass production.  Each unit is hand made by quality welders and craftsmen.
Good luck with your purchase.

I own a Yoder Smoker which is identical to the Horizon. Both Horizon and
Yoder are identical to Oklahoma Joe's. They guy who builds Horizon is the
brother of the original Oklahoma Joe and the guy who builds Yoders worked at
OK Joe's,

The base price is the same on both. It's a good smoker, well built.

For that price you could buy 3 Brinkmann offsets, which will last
anywhere from 2 to 20 years depending how fast you wear each one out,
how well you care for each one, whether you live near salt water and
how often you set a grease fire in it and singe off your eyebrows.

Or.. talk to David Klose down in Houston

The best computer is a man, and it's the only one that can be
mass-produced by unskilled labor.

I own an Oklahoma Joe. I cook on it often with great results. Used it as
my comp cooker until I aquired the Superior. Now I sleep!!
