Hi again, fellow SMLC Community Organic Gardeners,

 

It's May (finally!), the weather is heating up, and gardening season is upon us in earnest!

 

 

Third Garden Orientation, Saturday May 8, 9:00am - 10:00.

 

For those of you who haven't been able to attend one of the first two orientations, we have one more chance for you this weekend: Saturday May 8, 9:00am - 10:00am, just before the workday.  It is very important that each gardener attend one of the orientation sessions, so that everyone starts on the same page.  We'll give you a brief history of SMLC, go over our garden policies, cover some information to help you garden organically, and answer any questions that you may have.  If you cannot make it to this session, please let us know.

 

 

Garden Workday, Saturday May 8, 10:00am - noonish.

 

Help us put the 'community' in our community organic garden by helping out with various tasks for a few hours this Saturday:  1) spread manure on fallow plots; 2) inventory, organize, clean, and/or repair the garden tools; 3) lay out the hoses and test for leaks, make repairs if needed; 4) turn the compost pile.

 

 

We hope to see you out at the garden this Saturday!
