Hi Everyone,
I just wanted to let you all know I had a wonderful time buying my
vegetable seedlings today.
First stop: Ann Arbor Farmer's Market. I purchased 40 organic
vegetable seedlings for $30 from the vendor Frog Hollor. So let's
see, 30 divided by 40 comes out to be.........75 cents a piece. Now
that is an awesome deal!!!
Next stop: Coleman's Market on Michigan Ave. and Ridge road. I found
out that they sell some heirloom vegetable seedlings as well. Some of
the varieties of tomatoes that they carry are Black Krim, Cherokee
Purple, and Amish Paste. His prices are pretty good too. At about
$1.29 each.
Don't forget, Meijer's carries some organic seedlings too. Not a big
selection, but it would be good to purchase from them to show that
there is a demand for them and maybe they will carry more in the
future.
Does anyone want any potatoes to plant? I have plenty leftover. I
left some in the barn where the garden tools are stored. Help
yourselves.
Peace,
Wendy
