I need to maintain a serial number profile for Inventory Management on material masters but I am not sure about the settings. For some unexplained reason, the serial number profiles which were set-up in the IMG, got changed by support packages which were loaded onto DEV, UAT and PRD and I cannot locate these changes. My business process requirements are as follow:

I am still having problems. My serial number profile has been defined as follow, for GR/GI and deliveries. I've tried all scenarios. I cannot make the stock check 2, because transfers or reversals for material documents would then not be possible.

When you do goods issue for a STO with movement 641, the system first carries out availability check. If there is enough quantity available for that material then the system allows you to post goods issue. This is the standard behaviour.

The expected validation will happen if you make the system to check goods movement entries (101 Movement) in the table "SER03" for the material at the time of Post goods issue (641 Movement) through an enhancement. Not possible in standard.

Our system used to do the check for a GR for the serial numbers before they can be goods issued. If there was an enhancement, it is now missing. Do you perhaps have a link which I can follow to develop such an enhancement.

Logic : Pass material number to table OBJK and get the serial number. You've to add a validation step here, get the object list from table OBJK against each serial number & material number and pass it to table SER03 to check the Movement type. The field (BWART) value should be 101.

1.If you want the system to perform a stock check for the assigned serial numbers, then set stock check against the serial number profile as "2". Now the system will prevent Users from posting if the data found inconsistent during the check.

User will get the following error message whenever they try to enter new serial number other than from existing serial numbers. When you opt this function then you've to create serial number first using transaction IQ01 and assign the same while performing goods movement.

Please create new material with serial number profile and do your testing. If you take existing material with stock, then the system allows you to post goods issue before you do goods receipt since no validation exists for this in standard.

We use serial number profile 0001 and the IMG settings are as per attachment. If I set die stock check to 2, we cannot transfer serial numbers from one branch office to another. If I set it to 1, I get the same error messages.

Hello, I do serialized backflush of a component with serial number profile attached. I create serial numbers and attach the quantity to be backflushed. If suppose from tomorrow I have to do non serialized backflushing of this same component , can it be done? Is it possible to remove serial number profile for item which already was using it?

Please am having issues with physical inventory for lubes product, when doing PI the system is always looking for batch to use and when that batch is empty, it will be giving a deficit sign even though I can see the quantity, please what do I do or is it possible to diactivate batch management only for physical inventory.

I thought it is same issue. Is no serial profile is different to change material type? We had the same issue here from the user if material is created with serial profile, but the actual material upon received (GR) has none, we change the mat type from serialized to non-serialized so that the serial profile in (Sales: General/Plant) was remove.

Hi, first remove the stock and then in sales view 3 in material master
delete the serial no profile. By doing this next time the material will not
demand for serial no anymore. Let me know if this works for your question.

The normal process in this particular case is to change the serial profile in the material master which does not require serial number during goods movement. However, any change in this profile will unavoidably cause inconsistency thereafter.

However, now that more and more companies are just wanting to collect SMS/name instead of email, how do we handle a use case in Klaviyo where a phone number already exists on a contact profile and they submit new information? Should we just update the contact record as we previously had when they were submitting with an email? The only issue I can see with this is if two people in a household share a phone number (or even an email address)

However, important to note, if both of those profiles with the same number are sent an SMS campaign, one of the profiles will not receive the campaign because it will be considered a dupe, although both profiles will still exist within Klaviyo and you could send separately to them .

Thanks, but the problem is if you try to create a new profile with a new email address, but the same phone number on that profile already exists for a different email address, klaviyo API rejects it for duplicate phone number.

What are we supposed to do in this case where a husband and wife for example share the same home phone number but different emails? When we try to pass a new profile via API with a phone number that already exists on a different profile, we receive an error.

What we are going to do is if the same phone number is used with a different email address, we will just create a new contact record with that email address and drop the phone number from the contact record. The contact record with the existing phone number will remain the same. This seems like the only viable option when you have two people (e.g. husband and wife) signing up for something with different email addresses but the same phone number.

At this time, this is the expected behavior of the Klaviyo API - since phone number is a unique identifier, you cannot have two different profiles with the same phone number.

Changed the platform logos to be more generic in order to comply with platform guidelines around player identification. As a result, PC and Xbox users will see a small human silhouette instead of the previous Windows and Xbox icons while Cross Platform Play is enabled. looking around online a bit (and I don't know how true this is so take it with a grain of salt) it looks like for the icon specifically in other cases sony has refused to display xbox logos on their platform and microsoft refused to display PS icons. At least that was the case with crossplay call of duty games like modern warfare 2, where on each of those platforms the opposing platform had a tv with tiny console in front of it instead of the actual Platform icon (on pc you could see both console logos). I'm guessing that COD on consoles had some extra or unique code to trigger this. Since warframe is going super hard at a single version for all platforms they may have changed the icons for everyone to get around this without having to put in extra code they have to maintain.

that is foolish I believe every gamer knows what both look like thats like saying if they see a diffrent logo they will be like I didn't know that was a option! De did good work with the logos and seems like they are acting very foolish

just so everyone knows you gain a suffix irrespective of whether or not someone else has your name. ive checked, and no other B.P.Emma exists anywhere and cant even on xbox. but yeah, everyone has a suffix now. its a non issue haha, it only appears when viewing your inspect profile. doesnt appear when chatting or anything

Yeah idk either, players can just type in chat their platform it's not like you can hide it completely, feels like they think if you see another logo you'll want to change console like who tf is gonna do that just because of a logo.
