It was probably about this time five years ago, we encountered our first round of exams and major deadlines. Either that or Rob was giving his first push to complete our prework exams.   (Guilty!)

Last month, Megan emailed the class about our plans to hold a low key reunion event to celebrate five years since we started the program.  Many of you may recall that one of our favorite hang out places was the Old Line Wines Restaurant.  So, we made a reservation there for reminisce on the good ol days.

We have a few updates to share with you on this rainy Saturday morning.

1) Shan and I have really enjoyed being the representatives for cohort 13 over the past few years, however, our term has come to an end.  If you are interested in picking up the torch as the cohort social chair and the 13s representative as an alumni ambassador, please let Shan and I know by 2/19.  There is a small time commitment to the Smith School to attend quarterly calls with other ambassadors, serve on subcommittees, attend bi-annual in person meetings and of course represent the EMBA program to recruits and new cohorts at their orientation.

2) Reunion - We've only heard from about 8 of you so far, which means we won't push for a big event.  Instead, we're going to tone it down to just dinner somewhere in the college park/Hyattsville area as it is centrally located.  The plan is still to meet on 4/14. Please RSVP by 2/19.   We have also learned that the Smith School puts on a big reunion weekend for all MBA programs on every graduation year +5, which means that next year in April there will be an official reunion weekend and we can plan a big event around that. If you want to see what the official reunion activities are for 3s and 8s you can check it out here.
