Hi,

as we are all for freedom of speech (that includes freedom of
pronounciation!), you can actually say it whichever way you like.

We of course pronounce it a certain way, which sounds like
"smoot" ("smoute" in french), with a long vowel.

I believe the pronunciation in phonetic alphabet would be something
like: "smu:t".
