I have downloaded the Telegram project from the following repository ( ) and I have edited the BuildVars.java to put my APP_ID and APP_HASH, and also I have registered in hockeyapp.net to have get the HOCKEY_APP_HASH. And now, when I run the project it stops having an Exception. As I see, it says that "org.telegram.messenger.ApplicationLoader" is not found. But it is there in "java/org/telegram/messenger/" folder. Please help me to figure out this problem.

Just assign some 32 length string to HOCKEY_APP_HASH in BuildVars.java. I used all zeros and it works fine for now. I will try to update how to bypass using Hockey and update the answer.

This page contains instructions for verifying that Telegram's open source code is exactly the same as the code that is used to build the apps that are available in the App Store, Google Play and directly on the Telegram website.

Warning: Telegram supports reproducible builds as of version 5.13. Bear in mind that, at this stage, the verification process should be considered experimental. We will be updating our apps and these instructions to make this process as straightforward as possible.

You can find the version/build number and the source (website, Play Store, Huawei Store) at the bottom of the Settings page. Note that Telegram supports reproducible builds starting with version 5.13.

If you downloaded your APK directly from Telegram's website, use the package name org.telegram.messenger.web in this step. To verify the Google Play APK, use org.telegram.messenger.

Building your own reproducible binaries is difficult because macOS doesn't support containers like Docker. If Apple followed in the footsteps of Linux (and even Microsoft!) and added container support, it would eliminate the need for steps 1-3 in the guide below.

You will get a warning if the archive created in Step 5 contains encrypted files. If all these files are in the PlugIns subfolder, they represent various system extensions (e.g. external sharing, Siri). Decrypting such files using existing ways of receiving app archives via Jailbreak is non-trivial (but we're working on resolving this issue). If you do manage to decrypt them, e.g. on iOS 8, they will be matched.

Files with the .car extension are app resource archives (images, sounds) which were compiled and processed specifically for the target device. The App Store processes them in non-trivial ways, we're planning on getting rid of them in future versions.

The LaunchScreen.nib file is an empty file containing a description of the interface which is displayed by the system before the app is launched. It is processed by the App Store in a non-trivial way but doesn't contain any code and therefore may be ignored.

If you encounter any issues with obtaining the code, building and comparing the apps, please contact us at @BotSupport and include the hashtag #reproducibleBuilds with your message describing the problem.

Maybe Fernschreiber is an option for you. It worked well for me and can play voice messages. I also found another workaround to hear the audio if you not want to use a native app: if the voice messages are not from a encrypted chat, you can open them in the android filesystem to hear them. Thats not comfortable, but worked for me a while.

Makes perfect sense, Xperia X here too. However, a new phone due to this is certainly not an option, I got the X just recently as a replacement for my fairphone. Atm. I use Yottagram as a workaround to listen voice messages, and Telegram 8 for everything else. This is really just a workaround though.

2) What about Custom Workstations for Whonix-Gateway?
Theoretically, I could use torified Windows Workstation to run Android emulator in it.
Anonymize Other Operating Systems
Is the information in the article is actual and up to date?
The short explanation on setting up does not include Windows 10. Is it the same process as for Windows 7?

An application based firewall needs to run on the same operating system. This however requires trusting the operating system but in that threat model Windows is untrusted. Running a firewall in a different VM can only be IP / port based. Therefore never be complete. In short, no. There can be no shortcuts taming an untrustworthy operating system to make it trustworthy.

You could consider using a privacycoin like Monero to pay some sketchy person to give you an OTP code for a cell phone number that they control. You could look for a website like that which is accessible via tor. However, you would have to trust that person, and that person may or may not be able to recover the telegram account at any time to see your private messages (assuming you do not just get scammed).

Do you need to create a new Telegram account anonymously or just log in to an existing account? It is impossible to use Telegram anonymously if you have registered your Telegram account using your real ISP.

Hi everyone. I have recently set my first apple ID on my new Iphone. But I cannot transfer the history of my chats and groups from my previous android phone to my new Iphone. Even my previous account is not active on my new phone. I really need that chats. What should I do?

Hi! Recently I've released an early version of my app that allows for easy installation of OctoPrint on Android devices. It's a great way to make use of an old phone or tablet. It doesn't require root access and the entire installation process is one click of a button. No need for a raspberry pi

Read more about the project and download the app from GitHub: GitHub - feelfreelinux/octo4a: Use your old Android device as an OctoPrint server.

Feel free to report any bugs and contribute to the project.

I like this. How many old phone - tablets are gather dust that could be used. Are you planning Play store access? Reason I ask is my 3 old Android devices do not have access to the Play Store anymore. (Thanks Google) but other wise work fine. - Just saw, Android 5. OK, well all my old stuff will not work.

The app isn't going to be released on Google Play as Google doesn't allow apps that download external software anymore. I'm currently working on a new update of my app, that will add support for older Androids (Jellybean and higher). I'll let you know once i finish it

It probably won't have enough power to properly charge the phone, it probably will (most printers have backpowering on the USB port) but you might need something like a split cable so you can charge at the same time.

Very cool! I have also done some Android work to the Octoprint API in B4X but stopped short of putting a GUI on it. I am NOT a big Play Store fan at all so not being available on the store is no problem with me! FYI: I have 2 - 10Inch and 1 - 8inch 4.xx Android tablets that do not work with the store anymore.

Wouldn't it be better if there was a way to stop the camera server the same way we can stop the octoprint server? Right now the camera server keeps running all the time. Even if the octoprint server is stopped. It doesn't stop even if we get out of the app. This can occasionally freeze the phone.

Also, while I am not familiar with kotlin and android app development but only react and react-native, I would like to help you out with this project. Feel free to contact me if you need any kind of testing.

Shouldn't have anything to do with this version of OctoPrint, but rather a problem with the printer or cable. Most likely a setting on the printer that has to be modified. See here; Prusa Knowledge Base The step called "First boot of RasPI"

I used Xperia X with Sailfish X before and the voice and video calls with whatsapp android client worked fine. Since I bought my Xperia XA2 and use it with SFOS 3.x, Nobody can hear me or I can hear nobody when I'm using call with Android whatsapp client on XA2. The same problem with ringtone for a whatsapp call, I can't hear that during dualing. I checked already sound android setting. I tried Whatsapp+ Client. I tested the call function with android telegram client, the same problem. So that I'm little bit confused about that and can't find a solution or a workaround for this problem. Maybe somebody has the same issue and can help me? Thank you in advance.

Hi @jovirkku Other problem to: I even try the Android Settings - Sound - tab and apart from all the ringtones Whatsapp continues with ringtones within the messages, but the notifications are muted and only vibrates ... I don't even know what else to do .. Any suggestions ?

Whatsapp : I have exactly the same issue except that since the upgrade to 3.1.0 the person that I call can hear me. I still cannot hear anything (neither tone during dialing, nor the person whom I called).

Note: I happen to be using a pair of big amplified noise-cancelling external headphones and don't suffer from the problem. It probably boils down to the amplifier in the headphone being good enough, despite Sailfish OS' pulseaudio outputting the volume at a wrong level.

I have posted a solution to increase volume at -conversations-sound-and-recording-are-very-quiet/?answer=217670#post-id-217670 now. But the voice call problem on XA2 should/ could be another problem. For voice messages it works, though. You can try it for both problems. Many people of the second problem write and read here, too.

Any android app for volume boosting makes the other party hearable. However, they will also hear themself with a little lag, which is very anoying. So, best is to use whatsapp for video and a landline phone for the audio at the same time. Its somewhat inconvenient but better then nothing.

Voice calls with Whatsapp are not usable as the voice volume level is minimal (if can be heard at all). This is expected to get fixed in the next OS update (3.2.1). (This should get fixed with OS release 3.2.1 "Nuuksio")
