FW: Farewell to Mr. Shyaman Udayanga

Further to my email circulated yesterday, please note that when I called Sriyani madam this morning to enquire about the arrangements on 11^th June, I was informed that the scheduled farewell to Shyaman sir will not be held on that particular day.

 

However, on 11^th  June Rukmal Sir will assumes duties as the Head of the Dept of Entrepreneurship whilst Shyaman sir is leaving for further studies.

 

Those who would like to meet Shyaman sir before leaving and wish Rukmal on his new appointment are welcome to be present on the 11^th June.

 

The farewell will be scheduled on a different date which will be notified later.

 

Hence please pass this message to all whom you know.

Dear all,

 

Our lecturer Mrs. Sriyani Ranasinghe informed me this morning that Shyaman sir will be leaving overseas to read for his PhD.

 

The members of the academic staff of the Dept of Entrepreneurship has organized a farewell in a very small way to felicitate Shyaman sir.

 

Sriyani madam told me that there will no function or a party but just a gathering of past and present students.

 

It is scheduled to be held on Wednesday 11^th June 2014 at 5.00pm at the department of Entrepreneurship.

 

All past and present students are been invited to grace this occasion.

 

Sriyani madam also told me to inform you all that if any one wishes to present a gift to Shyaman sir, instead of a gift to buy a book on management or entrepreneurship and present it as Shyaman sir had an idea of starting a library for the benefit of the students of the department.

 

I may not have the email addresses of all who studied with us. Hence please pass this message to all whom you know.
