Dear all,
It is shocking to note the plight of some of our own senior citizens who
are spending the final stages of their lives at Elders Homes in Sri Lanka.
We should appreciate the fact that the Sujatha Elders Home in Panadura
is deeply concerned in looking after the resident senior citizens, with
great difficulty.
They are finding it difficult to facilitate the basic needs of these elders
on a daily basis, due to the lack of donations from the public, in terms
of food and other needs of the elders.
We have visited this elders home last week and, it's shocking to hear that
the management of the elders home is finding it difficult to provide meals
to these elders on a daily basis, due to lack of resources. However we
should thank the management for not keeping these elders hungry up to now,
as they were mostly able to facilitate meals of these elders at their personal
capacity.
Therefore please help these elders by way of providing dana (meals) or
by donating dry rations and other requirements of these innocent
senior citizens, in the name of your parents. (Pls refer the attached list
of requirements).
