listening to comirs today - Logan Airport in Boston Mass

comirs is the state TRS (trunked radio system)

MassPort Auth "Emergency 2" talkgroup - Ops broadcasts when runways
open / go into active use - also broadcast upcoming arrivals of very
large aircraft - these messages do not go out on Ops 1

Ops 1 channel handles escalator problems and parking problems and
maybe runway problems also

the main TG for Logan FD is patched to MassPort FireWide TG -
broadcastify calls logs those messages twice

heard 1 door intrusion alarm broadcast on F Patrol 1 - some dispatcher
gave a highlow tone and details of the breach - then a 2nd dispatcher
came on and sent 4 MSP units - suspect the first dispatcher was
MassPort Ops and the 2nd dispatcher was MSP

seems that AED cabinet alarms and CO alarms and probably fire alarms
at Logan also go to the MassPort Ops dispatcher (who directly
dispatches the MassPort FD)

however - the Ops dispatcher seemed to be different than the FD
dispatcher -= so maybe we can say that MassPort Ops has at least 2
dispatch consoles

for EMS calls in a terminal - MSP sends 1 cop to meet the ambulance on
the street side

there seems to be 2 different sets of terminology - airfield / ramp
side and street / non airfield side

for MassPort FD - for handling still alarms - today we heard E4 handle
a small fuel spill from an aircraft - R1 and L1 were both at ems calls
- not sure if we heard E1 on a run also

the KBOS Select talkgroup was handling radio traffic from aircraft to
MassPort Ground Control looking for gates at Terminal E - not sure why
Term E is the only one to have this arrangement - Terminal E does not
seem to have a central security / screening area like the other
terminals - not sure if that is releated - this is a patch from 134.05
