Hope everyone's doing well on the Monday morning. I'll try and keep this short.
Let me start with a quick Thank You to everyone (with a special
shout-out to our friends from Smursh) for supporting the Photographers
& Social Media event. We had 100+ RSVPs (#SMCM first) and a decent
turnout too.
Now coming to some important updates (esp. the last one) for everyone:
- We'll be sharing the Video(s) and PPT from the previous event this
week - watch out for that - should be good to share
- Lavin and Ankita are talking to Miss Malini (as many of you know
already) about an event on Blogging - we're looking at doing this in
November - mostly 3rd weekend
- I've always liked how GreenPeace (including the Indian division)
promotes their causes on Social Media and manages online marketing
overall. We wanted to do an event on Social Media for Social Change
with them and others from the field. We've reached out to someone who
should put us in touch with GreenPeace and we also have some other
leads. We're looking at December 2nd weekend for this.
comments/suggestions/thoughts welcome on this.
- Best for last: We were thinking of doing a Movie TweetUp :) We are
the Social Media Club and it'll be awesome we all go see The Social
Network together on the first day, as a tweetup. We can do this at PVR
Phoenix for 1 specific show and let people buy their own tickets in
advance online to avoid any execution nightmares. What do you guys
think of this? Let me know and we can put this up asap.
I'm excited about the upcoming events and am eagerly waiting to hear
from everyone (especially for the movie tweetup).
Cheers,
Achint Parekh

But we should all definitely do more movie tweetups more regularly.
And you can do this with #SMCBangalore :))
