How about a session on blogging and its future - has it diminished or will it gain prominence.. call in a blogger who's had years of experience and seen it from its early stages. Maybe a Rashmi Bansal..or Kiruba if he can come from Chennai.. can anyone think of other names..if at all this is a topic we should discuss.

@maneesh Achint had the same idea and infact had suggested we call Miss Malini. I think Lavin knows her personally. What are your thoughts on this. Should we approach her?

Or any other speaker?

@vineet can you think of some names since you are with Indiblogger?

Know her via previous email interactions-- not personally though.

She would be a nice speaker to have wrt social media per se and not just blogging- can suggest the following topics to here(if there is a buy in from all):

• How to build and maintain your personal brand from scratch using social media.?
• The convergence of new and conventional media
• The importance of 'social' in social media (since she socializes a lot)
• Social Media can not work in online silos: the necessity of the offline activities.
• Being regular with updates to engage the audience.
• <Feel free to add/suggest more ideas to help her build a talk>

Yeah, that's a good idea, I think we should approach her.. and more than blogging v/s microblogging we can get her to talk about the the topics Lavin mentioned. Basically an RJ's tryst with Social Media this time.. would be a good follow up to Paromita's session. 

Let's also keep a target for this. 2 weeks from now?

She can talk about How to use Social Media for personal branding and how to leverage it professionally. We can either have an interactive discussion where she jus explains what was her motivation behind her initiatives online and where it's gonna go..and then hav ppl ask Qs.  Or else a presentation on why she started, how she went bout it and where is it headed. 

Any other ideas?

How do we take this ahead?

yes, sir she is supposed to be running a private social network that started off with her organizing weekend activities for her pals, grew into some sort of a private social network called Friday Club (http://www.fridayclubworld.com)

Had suggested her as a speaker earlier (during our google buzz days) ...but I think someone dissed it as her being too much of an "airhead" or something like it...

Where are we on this?

I am bad with venues as in knowing or figuring out places, so don't have much of a suggestion on that. Can't we hold it in NM itself? though it does tend to get classroom like over there.

When do we take a final call on the speaker and topic?
