A positive outlook is considered one of the most important aspects of
healing. The health care industry has spent millions of dollars on
research to study the effects of a positive outlook, and has found that a
positive outlook is one of the most important aspects of a speedy
recovery. Employers have found the same results for keeping employees
and hiring new ones. Not only is the outlook of the individual
important, but also the corporate outlook.
1 BE GRATEFUL
Being grateful is definitely something that has the power to change your
life for the better.This will change your life because you will find
that you are much happier with your life. Anyone that wants to live a
happy life needs to learn how to be grateful because if you don't then
it can be very simple to find yourself hating life and not being happy
at all.
How many times do you say the words “thank you,” in a day? How many
times do you hear these same words? If you are doing the first thing,
saying the “thank yous,” the latter will naturally happen. Learn to be
grateful and you will be open to receive an abundance of joy and
happiness.
2.STOP COMPARING YOURSELF TO OTHERS.
Comparing yourself to others is a sure-fire way to balls up all your
progress and undermine any and all feelings of success. Obviously, it’s a
bit of a monumental waste of time, as someone else’s actions have very
little bearing on what you are capable of.
If you don´t then you´ll just create a lot of unnecessary pain in your
life. If you pass one person then you´ll just find another person more
successful than you. And your brief sense of being a winner will
transform once again into anxiety, fear, tummy-aches and possibly
heart-attacks. Instead start comparing yourself to yourself. Try to
improve yourself and see how you grow and become a more successful and
happier person. Focus on yourself, not the other people around you, no
matter if they are more or less successful. It may sound corny or
clichéd, but I feel it´s both a healthier and more successful way to
work and view life.
3.PURSUE YOUR GOALS
The absence of goals in our lives, or more specifically avoiding to
pursue our goals, makes us feel like we are stuck and ineffective. The
pursuit of goals in our personal lives, in our relationships, or with
our careers, is the difference between having a mediocre life or a life
full of passion and enthusiasm. pursue your goals and watch your
happiness soar.
Ride with positive people. Have you ever gotten on a bus or in car for a
log trip with a real negativity junky where there is no escape? All you
could do is sit back and bear it? This is probably one of the worst
things that can happen on a trip. It's like torture. It is important for
your sanity and a positive life to surround yourself with positive
people. On this journey called "life" it is important to ride with
positive passengers. There is no acceptable place on your trip for the
negative. They don't plan to go your route anyway. They will always try
to change your route and end up getting you lost.
4. REST
There are times when we need the time to unwind, decompress, or to put
it simply, just “to chill.” Life comes at all of us hard and fast. Time,
as do the days on the calendar, keeps going forward at its own natural
pace, which is not always the pace we would choose. Fatigue, stress and
exhaustion may begin to settle in on us faster than we may think, or
notice. The best remedy for this is indeed rest.
5.PUT ON A HAPPY FACE
Sometimes we have to fake it until we make it. I’m not suggesting that
we not be honest, real or authentic, but I’m suggesting, sometimes, we
just need to put on a happy face and keep moving forward. Researchers
claim that smiling and looking like we are happy will indeed make us
happier. Studies further show that if we act like we are happy then we
can experience greater joy and happiness in our lives.
6.TAKE YOUR THOUGHTS CAPTIVE
Take your thoughts captive. The way we have been programmed to think in
our world is probably the number one reason for depression and anxiety.
We train ourselves though out our lives to soak in all the negative
things we hear and then we meditate on them. The Bible says in Phil. 4:8
"...whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is
pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable-if anything is
excellent or praiseworthy-think about such things." Meditate on that. We
need to grab hold of each and every thought and make it captive to a
positive way of thinking. If this seems difficult because of
distractions or other obstacles, separate yourself from others for a few
minutes and take a walk with the intension of focusing on some of the
positive things in your life. We all have something positive going on.
