I am forwarding an announcement for our alternative grading practices learning community, rooted in a commitment to educational justice. Note that RIOS learning communities are open to all educators, professionals, and researchers in the STEM community - not just faculty. However, you do want to have some implementation of alternative grading planned.

This 7-week Learning Community series is facilitated by Drew Lewis and Melanie Lenahan.Alternative grading practices are growing in popularity as a way to promote equity in courses. In this learning community, participants will work through a scaffolded implementation plan to incorporate an alternative grading schema into their next course.
