Dear Carrie,
Could you forward this to SMB education listserv?
----------------------------------
Dear SMB Education Subgroup members,
I wanted to share this workshop opportunity with you. Please feel free to forward this message to anyone who might be interested in as well.
---------------------------------
From 28th April – 8th of May 2026, we will be hosting a mathematical biology workshop at MATRIX in Creswick, Australia, for under-represented genders (female, female-identifying, or non-binary). We are now opening the invitation to the broader mathematical biology community to fill the remaining 6 places at the workshop. Accommodation and food at the workshop are covered, and we are offering travel grants of $1,000 AUD for international applicants and $200 AUD for domestic applicants.

If you are interested in attending and wish to apply, please send a 2-page CV and 1-page cover letter to Adriann...@qut.edu.au by December 23rd, 2025. In the cover letter, please provide details on (1) your area of research and (2) what you would gain from attending the workshop.

Applications are open to all career levels; however, we encourage PhD, postdoctoral fellows and early career researchers to apply. More details on the workshop can be found here:  Collaborative Workshop for Under-Represented Genders Advancing Mathematical Biology and if you have any questions, please email at Adriann...@qut.edu.au or hr...@elon.edu.

Best,
Hwayeon on behalf of the workshop organizing committee
