First, what I gleaned from the book:
A) Jump - I don't have to have it all figured out.
B) Yoke - We are all trying to figure out how to apply the Bible to
our lives.
C) True - That God is everywhere and can be shown working to everyone
D) Tassels - God cares about restoring my present life as well as my
soul
E) Dust - I have been selling myself short: God believes in me
F) New - I don't have to beat myself up over past mistakes and sins
G) Good - The Good News is an upside down hierarchy. We conquer by
serving, "love wins."
We can argue about the fine points of theology and this particular
book, but I believe we waste our time doing so. Our Lord praises
those who reach out and help the poor, imprisoned, and homeless. I
believe this book helps us to put aside our focus on religion and "to
remember the poor." I hope to live up to this commandment.
