Little lost but learning adding new pages within smarty latest

how can i add new pages "xxx.com/index.php?=vps" or "xxx.com/vps" by just adding a new template "page_vps.tpl" using "vps" end of the file name after "page_" but before ".tpl" for the page name ?

any help will be great, thanks
