Smart SVN first impressions and questoins

Hello. 

I am new to SmartSVN. I have been using TortoiseSVN for years and recently had to use GIT clients for a while. I appreciated many of the features of the GIT clients so when switching back to Subversion I am trying some SVN clients. SmartSVN seems the most advanced.

I have to say that for the moment I do not see a large improvement in efficiency between tortoise and SmartSVN. One thing I loved about the GIT clients is that they usually had a treeview on the left that showed the main repo and all the branches. You could easy switch to a branch just by double clicking on the branch on the treeview. Same for switching back to trunk.

Similarly, you could merge and update just by dragging from trunk to your branch for example. Or reintegrate branch by dragging the branch onto trunk.

Is that possible in SmartSVN. Ideally I could pick some branches I am interested in following and those would appear in the main treeview on the left.

Are there other features I may be missing that are much more convenient in SmartSVN compared to TortoiseSVN?

SmartSVN and TortoiseSVN take quite different approaches: TortoiseSVN
integrates directly into Windows Explorer, while SmartSVN provides a
full-featured standalone UI. While both tools support the core Subversion
feature set, their interaction models and overall user experience differ
significantly.

which can be especially helpful for larger projects or teams working with more
complex repository layouts.
