Hello all,

I would be very happy if in the commit, in the file listing, there would be a field with the date the file was edited and a sorting function. Often I only have to commit one part, and that usually only concerns the last changes.

I would be happy to receive brief feedback.
I am currently testing smartsvn and would like to switch to it.

Thanks and greetings
Simon

Hi Simon,

You could sort the normal Files table by modification time, select the top most files and then commit them.

Hello Thomas,

Thank you very much for your answer. Unfortunately, this does not work because I also have many subfolders in which files change.
With many files, it quickly becomes confusing and there is a risk of forgetting something or committing too much.

Greetings Simon

Hi Simon,

Please describe in details why the sorting in the File table is not sufficient, but it would improve the situation for you if the commit dialog's file list would be sortable by file modification time. I don't understand why it would help in one case but not the other.

My projects consist of many PHP files. Sometimes there are many changes, which should not be transferred in a commit. Mostly, some changes are not yet finished and completed. In order to be able to see which files have been changed in the last few hours, for example, and should be committed, the display would be absolutely necessary for me. I could then set the corresponding checkboxes for the files in the dialogue. The display in Windows Explorer is useless because my projects also contain many subfolders.
Many greetings Simon
