Dear CED Committee Members,

I want to give a huge shout out to Lauren Meloche for planning and
executing a fabulous trip to Detroit over the weekend! I am grateful
to have shared this exciting and memorable experience with Sarah,
Rachel, Ellen, Steve, and Haiyan, our featured guest speakers, and
colleagues from the University of Michigan's Ford School of Public
Policy. I hope the trip inspired and educated us to continue
practicing Smart Growth principles in the classroom and beyond.

I am now officially stepping down from my post as CED Committee Chair
and welcoming your new leaders, Rily Ohlson and Deependra Chaudhry on
board. They will serve as the Google Group administrators and
committee co-chairs for this calendar year.

Thank you for your outstanding support and participation in 2011.
