Are these "branch descriptions" a stable feature?

If so, would like to be able to view and edit the descriptions in SmartGit.

They are, as it seems.

Please request two RFEs (one to display and one edit) at:

And explain in detail where you would expect to see these descriptions.

Can you implement support for branch descriptions in ver. 23?

Would like to use it to explain the branch purpose, state etc.

Currently we have to add a separate file for this, but why if git already has provision for it in .git/description files?
