Dear customer of the SmartComponent Library,

we are pleased to announce the Eclipse Plugin for the SmartComponent Library. The SmartComponent Library Eclipse plugin simplifies the creation of SmartWindowForm, SmartViewerControl or SmartUserControl based designs using the OpenEdge Architect Visual Designer (OpenEdge 10.2B and OpenEdge 11.0). The plugin provides alternative wizards to those provided by Progress Software. The alternative wizards default to the base classes of the SmartComponent Library (Consultingwerk.SmartComponents.Base.SmartWindowForm, Consultingwerk.SmartComponents.Base.SmartViewerControl and Consultingwerk.SmartComponents.Base.SmartUserControl) rather than Progress’ default base types (Progress.Windows.Form and Progress.Windows.UserControl).

The installation instructions are accessible in our wiki website: http://wiki.dynamics4.net/D4wiki/SmartComponentLibrary/DevelopersReference/EclipsePlugin

The customized wizards are accessible from the OpenEdge Architect File -> New menu or context menu of the resource view.

We do support our customers that are sub-classing the SmartComponent Library base types by providing the ability to specify custom base classes used by the plugin:
