Hi guys,

I've just started to work with the SmartAPI and I am running into some difficulties during my first steps. When I try to create a session an exception is thrown:

erminas.SmartAPI.Exceptions.RQLException: "RQL request to '' failed. Error message: 'There are duplicate modules in the license.'"

However I've got no clue on what this means, or how I can fix this. So if any of you guys can help me with an answer what I've done wrong that would be really great.

Best regards,
Philip

Hi,

thanks for trying out SmartAPI.

Unfortunately that error comes from the OpenText system and I don’t think there is anything SmartAPI can do about it.

You could take a look at your licence in the server manager and check, if there is a problem with it as the error message suggests.

Best regards

Jonas

Philip,
have you found any reason so far? I just experienced the same issue at a customer with MS 16.0.2.428. All of a sudden the login does not work any longer with an LDAP account. Other accounts still work without any problems.

As Jonas said this is an error of the CMS itself and I'm currently in touch with OT support for this.

Best,
Hilmar

Philip,

Debugging further I found one reason that has the same error message although the underlying error is something different.

If you provide a wrong login name or password the error message 'There are duplicate modules in the license.' can also appear under some circumstances.

Maybe you can check this as well if you still have the error.

Thanks

Hilmar
