Hi,
I would like to ask if there is any simple and
effective way to convert FLV video(with Sorenson H.263
codec in it) to Standard H.263 video?
I want to run the transcoding program on my embedded
platform,
and after the transcoding, my hardware decoder chip
can decode the Standard H.263 video.
I've tried to convert by simply using the program
ffmpeg to perform the transcoding, but it's so slow
that the video played on the screen are not
continuously when I perform reading data from FLV file
and transcoding to the Standard H.263 and send data to
the hardware decoder chip in two threads.

Any help on this topic is highly appreciated.

Sean.

Dear:

Could you figure out the difference between Sorenson H263 and Standard H263?

I think they are identical

Hi, The following H.263 features have been removed rom the Sorenson
H.263 video format:

GOB (group of blocks) layer
Split-screen indicator
Document camera indicator
Picture freeze release
Syntax-based arithmetic coding
PB-Frames
Continuous presence multipoint
Overlapped block motion compensation

The following non-H.263 features have been added to the Sorenson H.263
video format:

Disposable frames (difference frames with no future dependencies)
Arbitrary picture width and height up to 65535 pixels
Unrestricted motion vetor support is always on
A deblocking flag is available to suggest the use of a deblocking filter

Thanks, then, can you give me some information about the differences
between h.263 and h.263+ in ffmpeg?
and also what are the differences between these two codecs and the
standard h.263?
Appreciate.
