(Paper) 3i Infotech Placement Paper 2006 (Interview & GD)

Posted: 12 Aug 2017 05:16 AM PDT

Paper: 3i Infotech Placement Paper 2006 (Interview & GD)

Group Discussion:

The topics are very general ,there is absolutely no need for preparation. Topics for my and next group are like :-

1.Can a person be in politics and be clean as well?
2.Is attendance mandatory in the colleges?

Here they are short listing ruthlessly around 50%..only 5 members were short listed in my group of 10..same for the next group...so express your opinion and be in discussion. There are no moderators for the discussion we have to moderate ourselves.. and have to take chances to express ur opinion. no right or wrong answers!. Hope u can. The interview is scheduled for afternoon at 1:30..and there is no time keeping from the interview panel side. they came in 2:30 in a relaxed state leaving us standing for one hour without any chairs. Everyone who got selected is nervous about the interview. No one still know whether it will be technical or general.

About the interview

Only 2 members are there in the interview panel. I entered into the room and they offered me a seat and asked me for my resume and the interview printout. I handed it over to the guy. He looks into my resume and asked me ..

1) what is your qualification?
My answer: XX from X university I guessed: Anyone who looks at my resume should ask one more question, or at least show  interest in the qualification. because that is different. but nothing happened

2) Can you introduce yourself?
My answer: I told what i am doing curently..as i am experienced...and how i can fit ito the job.. My guess: they are expecting a very traditional answer...like i am Mr X..finished X degree and blah blah about personal details.

3)How can you relate your experience to the IT field?
My answer: I had experience in financial services..and told them how it is useful to the company as 3i is also in the same domain offering its products and services.
My guess: They seem to have no idea about financial services and the type of work i am doing .. so a bit not satisfied.

4)Have you done any IT courses?
I told them what i have done. I have done an ERP course panel response: I don't think there is nothing to learn in the ERP My guess:If you know C++, Java then only they feel it is an IT course.

5) what are your strengths?
I told what i got. including the transferable skills which i can bring from my previous job.. My guess: They are looking for hardcore technical skills

6)Do you have any questions?
I told Yes. and asked them about the training programme and the bond details.. they haven't told any thing about until i asked about it. Now i am a bit disappointed about what they said about the bond

(Paper) 3i Infotech Placement Paper Pattern

Posted: 09 Aug 2017 11:48 PM PDT

Paper: 3i Infotech Placement Paper Pattern Held On 28 JAN

The paper was prepared by INSTITUTE OF BANKING PERSONNEL SELECTIONS-MUMBAI.

Aptitude Written Test (Total time: 90 Min, 150 questions)

Section-1 English Language Ability (50 questions)

Section-2 Quantitative Aptitude (50 questions)

Section-3 Logical Reasoning (50 questions)

All 150 questions are given in the beginning, and you can attempt any section at any time. There is individual cut-off in each section. Negative marking 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

Section- 1:

Q1-15: Comprehension, Antonyms, Synonyms There is a big paragraph (one full page) about regularization of banking acts, etc.

Q1-9 are based on the content of the paragraph.

Q10-12 are Antonyms for some words appeared in the paragraph.

Q13-15 are Synonyms for some words appeared in the paragraph.

Q16-20 (Incomplete Paragraph about Development and Education in Punjab and U.P. was given) In these questions, we need to insert the appropriate word from the options given.

Q21-25: (Ordering sentences in a paragraph) There are 5 Sentences given. They have asked for the correct sequence of those sentences. For example the asked question is which sentence is 2nd? 3rd? etc.

Q26-35: (Sentence improvement) There are 10 sentences. A part of the sentence is in bold part. From the options, we need to improve the meaning of the sentence.

Q36-45: (Identifying error in the sentence) Each Sentence was broken in to 5 parts. We need to find out which portion is having error. Sorry I forgot the other 5 questions.

Except the questions 1-9, I answered all confidently.

Conclusion: Practice Comprehension more, because reading the paragraph itself will take10-15 min. Then answering questions is too difficult.

So, go for other questions which are relatively simple and you feel comfortable.

Section- 2:

Quantitative Aptitude: ( R.S.Agrawal level, but time is very crucial) I am giving you, the topics covered.

1.Compound interest (1q)

2.Simplification (10q)

3.Data Interpretation(15q)

There are 3 Tables and each table comprises of 5 questions.

4.Series Completion (5q)

5.Squre root (1q)

6. Trains (1q)

7.Probability (5q)

Actually I overlooked the other 7 questions, because I have answered only 25 in 30 min. Then I moved to other section. There is no time to see any question 2nd time. So, do it right first confidently. Some questions are (none of these) options type. So doing confidently first time is important.

Do not check your calculation if u get none as your answer. Because they will test confidence by putting none option.

Conclusion: Do all questions in R.S.Agrawal atleast once to get confidence. Emphasize more on DI, Probability. Questions are simple but managing time is imp.

Section- 3:

Logical Reasoning :

Two puzzles on seating arrangement of students- 10q. These puzzles are simple.

example: There are 10 students, five will sit in Row A, and others in Row B. K will sit in between D and E. M is not interested to sit at the end in a row……. like that conditions will be given, Accordingly we can arrange.

Statements and Conclusions- 5q.

There are 4 statements, All cats are dogs, some dogs are squirrels. No Squirrel is Dove. Some doves are cats. etc . Then 3 conclusions were given. and we need to identify which are following. This question is not correct. DO not try to solve it. Just to have an idea I have mentioned.

Blood relations (5q)

The model is like this: A+B means A is brother of B

A-B means A is mother of
AxB means A is father of B

A/B means A is sister of B

Then what will be p+q-r? etc. Please refer R.S.Agrawal Blood Relations Type 3 Coded Relations. (P.NO.237)

Coding & Decoding (7q)

For the numbers 0-9, They have given some letters as their codes. And if a word starts with vowel then code should start with $ symbol, if a word ends with vowel then code should end with # symbol. etc . Now 5 words were given we need to find out their codes.

Odd man out (1q)

A.27 B.64 C.125 D.512 E.216.

ans b

64 is cube as well as square but the others are only cubes.

Data sufficiency (5q):

Three statements were given and one question was given. To answer this question, we need to find out which data is required from the above 3 statements?

Like this total 5 q were given

New model questions (7q)

Five three digits numbers were given. 1 is added to the first digit of all numbers and 1 is subtracted from the middle digit.

Then QUESTIONS are which is lowest, highest? ect.

Example: 546, 687, 456, 274, 487

After modifying according to the given conditions, 636, 777, 546, 364, 577. Now you can arrange these numbers either ascending or descending order to answer the questions.

(Tips & Tricks) How shall I start preparing for Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Directi Flipkart etc.

How shall I start preparing for Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Directi Flipkart etc.

Since you are a college fresher it does not matter whether you are applying for a service based company or a product based company. So you do not have to do any "special" preparations just because these are product based companies. That said, some things that you can do to crack such companies are -

1. You have to be proficient in at least one programming language. Whether it is C/C++ or JAVA. (knowledge of other languages like Python are also given importance but you should at least have a knowledge of either Java or C/C++). I can speak only for C/C++ here. For the interview purposes you can go through books like "The C programming language by Kernighan and Ritchie and "Test your C skills" by Yeshwant Kanetkar. These books are sufficient to brush up your concepts of C.

2. Other than programming, these companies focus a lot on puzzles and logical ability questions. Over time these questions have become an integral part of interviews for any tech giant. And not only in interviews, most of these companies conduct a written exam based on aptitude questions. There are some very good websites to prepare for such puzzles like Riddles, Brain Teasers and Puzzles (Big Riddles) and Puzzles - XKCD Wiki

3. Now about the core of these interviews, algorithms and data structures. Your best friend in this case will be Introduction to Algorithms by Cormen, popularly known as CLRS. But you can only learn theory from this book and in interviews you will be asked questions based on real life scenarios and you will have to apply these algorithms in those questions. It is very easy to learn the theory, it's the implementation part that is tough. You have to exercise your brain cells just to think what algorithm you should apply in a particular question. For this you need to practice such questions in advance. Competitive programming. Sites like Sphere Online Judge (SPOJ) and topcoder can help you in this case. GeeksforGeeks - A computer science portal for geeks is another useful website to prepare algorithms and data structure questions. Cracking the Coding Interview by Gayle Laakmann McDowell is also an amazing source to prepare for interview questions.

(INTERVIEW) COMMON Interview Questions

Posted: 02 Sep 2016 11:04 AM PDT

:: COMMON Interview Questions ::

1. Tell me about yourself.

Keep your answer short and focused on your professional life. This is not the time to bring up relationships, childhood experiences, family etc. A brief history of education, career and special interests is what is called for here. End it with why you are interested in this particular job.

2. Why are you applying for this particular job?

Show interest and demonstrate that you have researched the job and know what you are getting into. Bring up evidence from past work/ studies that supports your interest in this role and any skills you have acquired in preparation for the role. You can say something like 'I would like to work for a leader in innovative network and telecommunications solutions and my college degree in computational mathematics has given me a solid background for this role. Mention the value-added you can bring to the job.

3. What do you know about our company?

Indicate what you have learnt from your research activities - from their annual reports,

newspapers, word of mouth, other employees etc. Use this to flatter them and show that you have done your homework.

4. What makes you qualified for this particular job?

Again, explain that you are very interested in the job and demonstrate what it is about your past experiences, education and qualifications that makes you ideal for the job. Show enthusiasm and support your answers with evidence wherever you can (e.g. my summer internship at Citibank gave me broad exposure to the area of equity analysis and I think I can apply many of the tools I learnt there in this job). Elaborate on all the past experiences and skill sets that make you suitable for the job. In cases where your past experience is not directly relevant, you can still find elements of it that can be useful. Play up team skills, computer skills, leadership roles, specific courses and independent research activities that can be useful to the job at hand to show your initiative even where you don't have directly relevant job experience.

5. What can you do for us that someone else can't?

Demonstrate key strengths, skills and personal characteristics.

6. Why should we hire you?

See 3. Because you have all the experience/ traits/ credentials demonstrated in 3 and in addition to being qualified, you are enthusiastic, intelligent, hardworking, flexible and willing to learn. Also mention any key relationships you may have that may assist you in the job.

7. What do you look for in a job?

Be honest. Also mention keywords such as challenging, steep learning curve, good work culture, demanding, rewarding, opportunities for advancement and growth, team environment, opportunity to build and maintain client relationships etc.

8. Why are you looking to make a career change?

Mention your interests and make sure you bring up all skills/ experience however insignificant that can support your move in this new direction. It is quite common in this day and age to make a career switch. You need however to show that you have very carefully thought about the change, have a strong interest in the new career and can use some of your previous skills/ education/ relationships to make that move.

9. Why did you leave your last job?

Do NOT use this as an opportunity to badmouth past employers or peers or talk about a failure of any sort. Any of these answers are acceptable: you were looking for a new challenge, your learning curve had flattened out in the previous job and you were looking for a new learning opportunity, the company or department were restructuring, you were ready to start something new after achieving your career goals at the previous company etc.

10. Why do you want to work for us (as opposed to the competitor companies)?

Demonstrate that you know something about the company, that you believe they are leaders/ innovators in what they do, or you think their work culture is exactly what you are looking for, or you like their product(s) or you have friends who work there and have always been attracted to the company etc. Flatter the company and show you know something about it.

11. How long will it take you to start making a meaningful contribution?

Show that you are enthusiastic and willing to learn and will put in all the hours and effort necessary to learn the ropes and start making an immediate contribution. Indicate that your past experiences/ skills/ credentials will enable you to make an immediate contribution at some level while you quickly learn all new aspects of the job. An Interviewer wants someone who is willing and able to learn and will make a return on his investment sooner rather than later.

12. What are your strengths?

See 14 below. In addition, keywords such as good teamplayer, work very well under pressure, very creative, very strong quantitative or computer skills, and very strong client relationship skills may be appropriate depending on your chosen field.

13. What are your weaknesses?

Do NOT mention key weaknesses here. This is not the place to say you are bad at meeting deadlines or you never mastered highschool mathematics etc. Turn this question around to your benefit. For example, you are 'overambitious' or 'extremely attentive to detail' or 'like to take on too many projects'. Make it sound positive.

14. What are your career goals?

Show you have thought forward and are committed to your career.

15. How would you describe yourself?

Any of these are good examples of attributes employers are looking for: intelligent, hardworking, quick to learn, enthusiastic, honest, efficient, productive, ambitious, successful, compassionate (in the medical fields).

16. How would your colleagues describe you?

Do not bring up anything negative here.

17. How would your boss describe you?

They will check references anyways so bring up the most positive attribute you can think of about yourself e.g. hardworking, honest etc. and leave it to your Boss to say anything to the contrary.

18. What did you most like/ dislike about your past job?

Do not use this to badmouth past jobs/ employers. Keep it light and in your favour eg I outgrew the job, there wasn't a clear career progression, I wasn't learning anything new etc. Ideally, you will have loved your last job and would like to achieve the same kind of success and job satisfaction in a more challenging area as you have now 'outgrown' that job and are ready for 'new challenges'.

19. Describe a situation in your past where you showed initiative?

You could describe any new methods you came up with to do your job or to save money for the company or to turn around a bad situation. It can be something as simple as changing a filing system, or establishing a relationship with a vendor that saved your department a lot of money. If you are in sales, you may want to talk about how you brought in that big account. Creatives may talk about how they came up with that cutthroat image or design that brought in the business.

20. What were your main responsibilities in your last job?

Have these ready and list them all. Dwell on the ones that are most relevant to the new job. This answer should be smooth and practiced.

21. What do you consider your greatest accomplishments?

Many of us have one or two milestones in our career that we are very proud of e.g. that early promotion, that 'huge' deal we brought in, the design we came up with, the costs we saved, the revenues we increased, the people we trained, a new invention or process we came up with etc.

Examples of accomplishments may be: 'Reduced costs by X%; or renamed and repositioned a product at the end of its lifecycle, or organized and led a team to do do XYZ, or achieved sales increase of

X% etc. If you are a fresh college graduate, talk about extracurricular activities, leadership roles and grades.

22. Describe your management style (if relevant)

No answer

23. Do you work better in teams or independently?

Show that you are a proactive team player and like to bounce ideas off others and get input; however you are very capable of working independently (give examples).

24. How do you work under pressure?

Well. Give evidence.

25. What other jobs have you applied for?

Don't mention jobs in different career directions (e.g. advertising and investment banking). Do however bring up any other offers or Interviews from competing firms.

26. How did you do in college?

Keep it positive. It's okay to say you were very busy making the most of college and were very involved in sports, activities, social life etc. Employers want human beings not robots. Mention the areas you did very well in even if it was just one or two courses you excelled in. They will check for themselves.

27. What kind of hours would you like to work?

Employers want to see flexibility. Indicate you are willing to put in whatever hours are necessary to finish the job. Do however mention any constraints you have e.g. you would like to be home to pick your kids up from school at 3:30. Most employers are willing to work around your constraints if you show flexibility on your side as well.

28. Do you have any questions for me?

YES you do. Questions engage the Interviewer and show your interest. Ask questions that show you know something about the company or the job, that you are planning ahead, that you are anxious and willing to learn the ropes and that you are committed to the position.

(PUZZLES) INFOSYS INTERVIEW PUZZLES WITH ANSWERS

Posted: 30 Aug 2016 01:34 AM PDT

Contributor: CHETANA-JOBS Group

I HAVE COLLECTED THESE QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS FROM THE MAILS IN THE GROUP ONLY. FOR 3-4 QUESTIONS ONLY I HAVE FOUND THE ANSWER WITH THE HELP OF MY TEACHERS. SO KEEP IN MIND THAT THESE ANSWERS MAY NOT BE 100% CORRECT. TRY TO SOLVE IT YOURSELF.

1. You are given two candles of equal size, which can burn 1 hour each. You have
to measure 90 minutes with these candles. (There is no scale or clock). Also u r
given a lighter.

Ans: 1. First light up the two ends of the 1st candle. When it will burn out light up
one end of the second candle. (30+60=90)

2. Try the similar problem to measure 45 minutes.

Ans: First light-up the two ends of the 1st candle and one end of the 2nd candle.

When the 1st candle will burn out ,then light up the both ends of the 2nd candle
(15+30=45)

3. You r given a thermometer. What can u do by this without measuring the
temperature?

Ans: if u put thermometer into a tree it won?t grow anymore, will just die off

4. How it is possible to place four points that are equidistance from each other?

OR
U r a landscape designer and your boss asked u to design a landscape such
that you should place 4 trees equidistance from each other.
(Distance from each tree to the other must be same)

Ans: Only 3 points can be equidistant from each other. But if u place points in the
shape of a pyramid then its possible

5. You are given a cake; one of its corner is broken. How will u cut the rest into
Two equal parts?

Ans: Slice the cake

6. How will you recognize the magnet & magnetic material & non-magnetic material?

Ans: Drag one piece of material over another. There is no attractive force in the
middle portion of the magnet.

OR
Get a piece of thread and tie up with the one bar and check for poles. If it iron bar
then it moves freely and if it is magnetic bar then it fix in one direction according to
poles.

7. If one tyre of a car suddenly gets stolen.... and after sometime u find the tyre
without the screws how will u make ur journey complete?

Ans: Open 3 screws, 1 from each tyre and fix the tyre.

8. How can u measure a room height using a thermometer?

Ans: temp varies with height. but its dependent on various other factors like
humidity, wind etc.

9. What is the height of room if after entering the room with a watch ur head
strikes a hanging bulb?

Ans: Oscillate the hanging bulb. Calculate the time period for one complete
oscillation by Simple Harmonic Motion (SHM) of the handing bulb. Put it in the
formula T=2 * 3.14 * (L/G)^1/2
L will be the length of the hanging thread.
Add the L with ur height to get the height of the room.

OR
Ans: Drop it from the room and find the time at which it strikes the floor. Using
physics formula s = (at^2)/2 (IM NOT SURE ABOUT THIS ONE)

10. Color of bear.... if it falls from 1m height in 1s.

Ans: We get 'g' perfect 10 which is only in poles...hence polar bear...color White

11. How will you measure height of building when you are at the top of the building?
And if you have stone with you.

Ans: Drop the stone and find the time taken for the stone to reach the ground. find
height using the formula
s = a + gt ( s = height, a= initial velocity=0, g=9.8m/s, t = time taken)

12. How wud u catch and receive a ball in same direction? (Dropping is from north
And receiving from bottom not accepted, as it is 2 directions)

Ans: ?

13. 25 statements given. Some tell truth, some false and some alternators. Find out
the true statements.

Ans: ?

14. Can u make 120 with 5 zeros?

Ans: Factorial (factorial (0)+factorial (0)+factorial (0)+factorial (0)+factorial (0)) =
120

15.There are three people A, B, C. Liars are of same type and Truth speaking people
are of same type. Find out who is speaking truth and who is speaking false from the
following statements:

a) A says: B is a liar.
b) B says: A and C are of same type.

Ans: lets assume A is speaking truth. It means B is a liar then it means A and C are
not of same type.

16.5 swimmers A, B, C, E, F and many conditions of their positions like there are
Two b/w A & F, B doesn't win etc the question was to find who was b/w like E & D?

Ans: ?

17. in a race u drove 1st lap with 40kmph and in the second lap at what speed u
must drive so that ur average speed must be 80kmph.

Ans: its impossible! if u drove the first lap in 40 kmph, its impossible that the
average speed of both the laps is 80kmph.

for eg. consider one lap distance = 80km.
time req. to cover 1 lap = 80km/40kmph = 2 hrs.

if the avg. speed is 80kmph, then the total time would have taken =

160kms/80kmph = 2 hrs.

same is the case with any other distance u consider. so the avg to be 80kmph is
impossible

18. You have to draw 3 concentric circles with a line passing thru their center
without lifting hand.

Ans: Start the line complete one circle move inside circles along the line and then
draw second circle. Like wise rest.

(TIPS) 10 Days Guide to Crack Infy Freshers Test by : Rajiv

I am a fresher who just finsiehd my final year B.Tech Information  Technology.Being fully prepared for the selection test for Infy on June 19th, and with God's grace I was able to get an appointment Order form Infosys.I would like to give back to the group the 10 day schedule that i followed, which may be of use in CRACKING the Infy test.If 10 days arent there for you, then you coudl leve out the days that i have used for Ravi Narula and the quantitaive Aptitude. That would bring down the number of days to 7 or 8. You need to manage your time very effeciently. Spend your itme in studying, and prayers. Prayers do help a lot .

Usually when you register with Infosys, you woul get a mail atleast 10 to 12 days before the written test either by email, or by Post.Let us keep this as 10 days. Before we start off, three rules must be kep in mind.

FIRST RULE : While job hunting , check your mail on a daily basis, so that you dont get delayed info regarding test or other such details . Even the appointment order comes by email.

SECOND RULE : Once you do receive the intimating or hall ticket, check for the following books. Not all chapters need to be followed in each book and i have given the need ones in the daily schedule .

(1) Puzzles to Puzzle you - Shakuntala Devi (very Important)

(2) More Puzzles - Shakuntala Devi (very Important)

(3) Puzzles and Teasers - George Sammers (very very Important)

(4) Brain Teasers - Ravi Narula (Optional, but few old sums are here)

(5) Quantitative Aptitude - R.S Agarwal ( Important)

(6) Verbal Reasoning - R.S Agarwal (very very Important)

(7) Previous Papers - freshers group, etc.

THIRD RULE : YOU must forget all your previosu failures and start afresh with firm determination and enthusiasm. Once you do this , solving puzzles become easy . I solved 9 out of 10 puzzles. Concentrate on the bigger puzzles first . This may be the way the marks are distributed:

8 marks and 6 marks - George Sammers and Verbal Reasoning (R.S Agarwal)
4 marks and 5 marks and 3 makrs - Shakuntala Devi books and Ravi Narula and Quantitative Aptitude(R.S Agarwal)
Some questions from Previous Papers

Now lets start of with the schedule :

DAY 1 : Start off with Puzzles to Puzzle you - Shakuntala Devi and finish as mush as possible.Decide to only finish the book and call the day off. Note down the sums which you are not able to solve or need the answers to solve and keep this list safely. After you go through the whole book, go back to thses questions and just check out the way they are solced. Sometimes they will not be explained. In this case you have no choice but to leave them. But some sums will have some funny explanations.Just rememeber the way or method.

DAY 2 : Now take a break off from Shakuntala Devi and then start Verbal Reasoning - R.S Agarwal . In this you just have to do the Puzzle Test Chapter fully , and have a look at the Number, Ranking and Sequence Test chapter. I contains fully George Sammers type question on easier scale but you woudl be able to uderstand the basic logic of solving George Sammers type questions.Finish off the whole book during the second day. There is just one or two methods to solve these sort of questions and the explanation is very clear . Once you get the method , you can solve al the puzzles in this, but just in case do go through all the puzzles. there have been puzzles in previous papers from here.Once ou get the method well, there will not be any revision necessary in this book . But you will have to concentrate on the method.

DAY 3 : Now back to More Puzzles - Shakuntala Dei and follow the same procedure you followed for the first book.

DAY 4 and DAY 5: Get your George Sammers book and start off solving the puzzles. The first half is kind of easy, btu dont be worried if your not able to solve much. Even one or two is enough . The Rest , you just have to use the scheme and the solutions and then understand the puzzle thoroughly. Many papers have similar sums with the names changed. Try to finish the first half in a day . And start off the second half . The second half is relatively tougher, and it ill be very confusing. Just try to solve some. The second half ,  even the solutions will confuse you more. So just solve as many as you can. The rest you can make use of the soultions . If they are too complex, Leave them aside. Note down all sums you could not solve or could solve only using the solutions and list them . When you are through the whole book, just revise all the sums, giving preference to the ones that you have listed . It si okay even if you sit with George Sammers for three days. But you must fully be able to undertsand all the question in the First part. The second part , atleast maybe few sums are optional.

DAY 6 : Take your quantitative Aptitude book by R.S Agarwal and work out the following chapters fully. Note down tough sums and their solutions and come back to solve thme and revise them . The chapters to be done are :

(1) Time and Distance (very important)
(2) Time and Work
(3) Pipes and Cisterns
(4) Trains
(5) Boats

DAY 7 : Revise Shakuntala Devi book-1 and revise it well. Not necessary to wokr out the porblems. Just check if your method is correct . The sums you have listed, give them extra importance. By the end of this day , you must Shakuntala Devi book-1(Puzzles to Puzzle you ) on your finger tips.

DAY 8 : Revise the book-2 of Shakuntala Devi , just how you revised the first book.End of this day you shoudl ahve both Shakuntala devi books at your finger tips.

DAY 9 : Revise George Sammers, such that you can easily solve the whole first part . The second part , leave ii , if it is tough.

DAY 10 : Check out Ravi Narula. The sums are very tough . It will be enough if you just c the solutions and understand them . Some sums are asked in some papers.( There is one questin abt some ANYMAN reaching ANYWHERE. His tyre gets punctured and he reaches late.If his tyre got punctured earlier / later then he would have reached earlier/later. How far did he travel..soemthing like that).that is form this book . Many papers have this sum repeated. But the names are changed. Ravi Narula is just optional, but I suggest that you go through all sums and their solution atleast once.Dont take too much time on Ravi Narula. Just three or four hours would be sufficient.
