Getting started with SMART on FHIR,EPIC

Hi Guys,

I am trying to build an mobile app. I created a App in My Apps in Open Epic console got the client id. I am trying it to patient facing app?

I am now trying to do OAuth following the below steps

1. Fetch the metadata using this url :- https://open-ic.epic.com/Argonaut/api/FHIR/Argonaut/metadata

2. Get the Authorization url . 

3. Redirect the user to this url. It open up this url https://open-ic.epic.com/MyChart/default.asp

Is this correct? Is there any test credentials that can be used to test the oauth?

Can anyone guide me through as i am new to EPIC,SMART on FHIR

Hi,

I am unable to locate your reply. I have stuck on this for some time now.

 This is the auth url that i construct

https://open-ic.epic.com/Argonaut/oauth2/authorize?response_type=code&client_id=<removed_id>&scope=launch/patient,patient/Observation.read,openid&aud=https://open-ic.epic.com/FHIR/api/FHIR/DSTU2/&redirect_uri=http://localhost/callback

When this url is launched itfirst shows a message you are logged out followed by redirection to the url https://open-ic.epic.com/MyChart/default.asp

asking for username/password. Is this correct. And can you provide any test login to proceed further.

Any help would be great. Thanks!!

It sounds like we had a few opportunities to help you and didn't, I apologize. I don't see my response to your other SMART google group thread either. We don't systematically monitor the SMART google group, so responses are sometimes delayed. I'd like to ask you to try op...@epic.com in the future. I'm not sure what your actual email address is, so I can't find the email that you sent to that address. 

I think that this is the information that you're looking for:

You should be able to test the patient-facing login process through
our sandbox. You may log in with the following accounts: 

Username: fhirjessica Password: epicepic1 
Username: fhirjason Password: epicepic1 
* The fhirjason account has access to the fhirjessica account as a
proxy. 

We're working on getting these credentials incorporated into our small tutorial here: https://open.epic.com/Tutorial/OAuth.

Could you give this a try and let me know - is...@epic.com, or op...@epic.com, how it goes?

I am gonna integrate Epic.com in my app.

but I can't get redirect URL with authorization code.

this is authorization url to get authorization code that I used in my app.

Hi Isaac,

I tested the patient-facing OAuth 2.0 login process through https://open-ic.epic.com/MyChart/default.asp

I used your example account in the login.

Username:fhirjessica, Password:epicepic1

Username:fhirjason, Password:epicepic1

 

It is working well.

question?

I’d like to use myself account in order to do login.

How can I make and use myself account?

please let me know about the method.

Hi,

Now following url is not working.

https://open-ic.epic.com/Argonaut/api/FHIR/Argonaut/metadata

So I can't get Authorization url.

It give me following error.

This open-ic.epic.com page can't be found

No webpage was found for the web address: https://open-ic.epic.com/Argonaut/api/FHIR/Argonaut/metadata

please let me know what is the fault.

Hi James,

The Epic sandbox does appear to be down at the moment. However, this mailing list is not run by Epic, and is for vendor-independent discussion about SMART on FHIR (I believe).

For Epic sandbox related queries it's probably better to contact them directly at op...@epic.com.
