Hello Epic team,
I am registered with open Epic and created an app with clinical/Administration as an audience. I have set up a Callback URL and JKS files are correctly setup.

I am blocked with the following use cases

1. Launching my webpage
2. It opens Hyperspace login page
3. What should be the credentials?

I changed the audience from clinical/administrators to Patients, I can see mychart login and able to login as well. I am able to use generic credentials and login but redirect is failing due to invalid client

Epic login error: Token exchange failed: {"error":"invalid_client","error_description":null} Is there a github repo or documentation where all of this explained or documented?

Thanks Happy Minocha

Thanks Kavi, This was very helpful. Where can i see what data exists for these patients or is it possible to create the data? I only see 2 appointments for Camila and nothing much for other patients.

Thanks

Hi Minocha,

Create operations available for limited resources and depends on the use cases. Which type of app do you want to create? There are three types of FHIR/SMART on FHIR: Patient, Physician, and System.

We can do some of them via HL7 v2 interfaces.

Based on this, I can suggest a suitable way to move forward.

Including my team @Balamurugan S @Kaviyarasu JR

Thanks and Regards
Kavi

Thanks Kavi. I am currently at prototype stage so trying to understand the APIs flow with Epic. Real use case is for Clinical Admins to help customers with appointments by following guided procedures, Preparation for procedures and providing answers via phone. I learned recently about Epic Cheers and potentially connected with Epic Cheers to provide real time guidance.

I was unable to complete oAuth flow with clinical admin so i switched to patient for the prototype primarily to understand the flow of the data. That is the reason i started this thread.

Hope this information helps. I am also curious to understand how i can get access to full sandbox(harness test) and that will be next step once my prototype is ready.

Thanks
Happy Minocha

Thanks Bala it helps. With oAuth documentation, i am able to create standalone app for Patients and will try for provider in the next couple of days.

Do you have any experience working with https://open.epic.com/Hyperdrive/HyperdriveDownload . Once i am done with prototype, I want to test the same with Hyperdrive (essentially EMR system). If not, What is the right way to get Epic's sandbox

Thanks

Hi Minocha,

I’ve shared a sample POC for the physician-facing and patient-facing EPIC app for your reference, along with the OAuth setup documentation. This should help you understand the setup and integration flow.
Please take a look and let me know if you have any questions or need assistance—we’re happy to help.
