Hello! I am wanting to use SLIR on a server that servers hundreds of thousands of thumbnails every day. With that amount, the cache folder will, I'm sure, grow to huge sizes pretty quickly. I want to make sure I conserve as much CPU and memory as possible, and it concerned me a little that anyone anywhere can copy my thumbnail URLs, change the width from, say, 200 to 600, and waste my server's resources creating images I will never use or need again.

1) is this something I should worry about?
2) is there a way to lock SLIR down to specific commands? I will only ever use it to generate w200 thumbnails, I will never want to use any other commands. Can I disallow anything else? Or redirect any other requests to the w200 one?
3) can I lock SLIR down to be allowed to make requests from specific domains only? I have had problems in the past with other sites scraping my content, and I don't want the thumbnails to be allowed to be rendered on those domains. Something like a domain whitelist, and if the refer is not mydomain1.com or mydomain2.com, it returns blank (again, to save resources I am not interestered in having an error returned).

One last question - with hundreds of thousands of thumbnails, do I need to do anything to organize the cache folder? Should it be organized into subfolders instead of everything lumped into one big folder?

Many thanks in advance for any advice!

I have the same concern, and same ideas for fixes.
