Dear Daniel, dear members,

thank you for your kind invitation and this unique opportunity to
communicate with insurance professionals from all over the world. I
greatly appreciate your invitation and I am very glad to become a part
of the Smart Insurer family.

Here is some information about my professional background:
I studied insurance economics with an emphasis on insurance law in my
beautiful hometown of Hamburg. My area of expertism is the world of
employee benefits, which is influenced by labor law, insurance law and
tax law. A really complicated field here in Germany. My working
experience includes 20 years in the insurance business in various
positions, working for various employers: customer service
representative for life and disability insurance and employee benefits,
official actuarial expertise for pension accruals (defined benefit),
IT-consulting for the European insurance industry regarding the
standard system "ALICE" which is based on SAP R/3. Moreover I was in
Atlanta (USA) in 2004 for a 3-months internship with ING Americas, a
subsidiary of the well known Dutch insurance company ING.

Today I am a freelancing insurance broker and IT-consultant in Germany.
