I am using policy-routing (thanks Stangri) to use a specific vpn connection for my clients: so, for example, a specific client uses openvpn1, another client uses openvpn2, a third client wireguard1, a fourth client uses directly wan connection.
Running a VPN through VPN software, on the other hand, means downloading the software directly onto each device you want to use while connected to that VPN. The other notable part of the file is the last AllowedIPs line. These two IPv4 and IPv6 ranges instruct the peer to only send traffic over the VPN if the destination system has an IP address in either range. Using the AllowedIPs directive, you can restrict the VPN on the peer to only connect to other peers and services on the VPN, or you can configure the setting to tunnel all traffic over the VPN and use the WireGuard Server as a gateway.

Thank you for sharing.One word of caution, the WireGuard Peer is not necessarily an enpoint.In my case, it was an OpenWrt router (GL.iNet) so I had to create the client keys and configuration on the WireGuard server. The commands provided to generate the peer keys would overwrite the server keys so you might want to use a different names or directories.

Your ISP (Internet service provider) may not always create a direct connection with the game server. This is especially true if you live far away from the game server, so your ISP may hop the connection through multiple networks.
A VPN creates a direct connection from your ISP to its own server, which is closest to the game server you want to play on. It's IP before connecting is a standard 192.168.x.x address, and then it gets a 10.253.0.x connection afterwards. I have port forwarding set up on the router, and from within the VPN Manager I can ping the endpoint, but I cannot map the share from the client PC. If I try to ping the server from the client side using the DNS server address it fails, though using the endpoint address does get a response. I have tried to map this using the server name, the DNS server, and the endpoint address but they all fail. I know this server works because I can connect using both my desktop connected directly to the router as well as my android phone that is running Wireguard. So overall I am just very confused where I am going wrong.
Ultimately I decided on masipcat/wireguard-go, because at its core it is a really simple and uncomplicated prebuilt Docker image, and also directly provides a Kubernetes deployment example that works out of the box.
