I'm not sure but considering that quite a few .lua files are inside the angry bird app folder, I'd say they used LUA at some aspects. But from what I've heard, LUA isn't a primary language, just something to script with. That said, I'm not a obj-c programmer either, so take my word with a grain of salt.

4. It's funny. The insane gabbling of the birds is a hoot. While waiting in line for their turn on the slingshot they hop up and down and do backflips in their fury. To me it was even funnier that their rage seemed entirely purposeless, like Iago's in Othello. I was disappointed when I later found there was a backstory: the pigs had stolen their eggs. I thought it was much better that the birds just mindlessly wanted to kill.

Level design: This level design is stupidly easy, it becomes a mindless game were all you have to do is just fling birds at buildings and pray that something hits those structures, and the reason for this because the game's levels are randomly generated making it a roguelike. While I do like the roguelike genera, for some reason it gets merged with other genera's that are NOT designed for roguelikes. There is no way to tell a bot how to create meaning full puzzles without them becoming boring and easy. Another problem with this is that because it is an roguelike, there is a new version of each level every time you re-start, meaning that it is impossible to practice them.

2. New stuff: Okay so there is tons of new stuff that this "sequel" brought to the table, all of witch suck. First lets start with the new bird, silver. She's fine can be useful some times but sense the level design is randomly generated, it mostly just ends up making her completely USELESS. Now there is the cosmetics, not really much to say about them, other than they look like they were stolen from PvZ 2. Now the arena its a multiplayer mode and its just as bad as the base game though you don't lose lives when you lose in this mode. In the tower of fortune you can get upgrades for your birds however you can not see any of the cards, and one of them is a pig card. If you get the pig card, you can watch an add to pass or pay with gems. Mighty Eagle's Bootcamp is just a shop, nothing else to say about this mode. And there is the daily challenge were you can lose lives unlike the arena. There are also spells that just make the game easer than it already is.

Now you may wonder why I say sequel in quotes. Well that is because an other game already got that title (according to Rovio) and in my opinion, is MUCH more deserving of the title Angry Birds 2. That game is AB seasons wicth is the TRUE Angry Birds 2, and AB rio witch is an Angry Birds 3. Now, how did these games already get that title of the an angry birds sequel? WELL in 2012 there was an Angry Birds game that released on Xbox, PS3 and the WII. It was titled "Angry Birds Trilogy" Keyword TRILLOGY. And what games were there? Angry Birds classic and Angry Birds Seasons and Angry Birds Rio. Or should I say THE TRUE ANGRY BIRDS 2 AND ANGRY BIRDS 3. So ya Rovio is just trying to act like Angry Birds never had a sequel before even though they put AB seasons and rio along with the original in a game called AB Trilogy.

Thats cool thx! I realized that I remembered angry birds incorrectly or I was thinking of a different game. Angry Birds has a trail behind the projectile. I think that is really useful for gameplay. I also thought that it gave you a preview path of where the ball was going to go with an arc path. So you would pull back on the slingshot and you would see a dotted line of the arc that the ball would take if you let go. Can I calculate this with the potential velocity, the current angle and the mass of the projectile?

Angry Birds follows Red (Jason Sudeikis), a barely tolerated, on the verge of being ostracized bird whose contempt for the rest of the birds on the island has led to him leading a life of perpetual loneliness. After one disastrous incident involving a birthday cake, he's sentenced to anger management classes where he meets the energetic yellow bird, Chuck (Josh Gad), and a massive black bird that suffers from spontaneous explosions, Bomb (Danny McBride).

Red was generally the protagonist in the first movie and something of an unexpected hero due to his status as a loner who was teased as a hatchling and avoids pretty much everyone. He led the other birds to channel their anger in order to save their eggs from the pigs. He is celebrated as a hero and his sense of self has become identified with his heroic acts.

I agree that this method makes learning much easier. Students understand and are interested crazy birds. One thing I noticed- Velocity should not be zero at the top of the arc, unless that is for y axis only.

The game combines puzzle and physics together, throwing in a storyline to create the perfect meme game for the decade. The snotty green pigs will shield themselves with wood, glass, steel, and helmets. The players are armed with a slingshot and the following birds:

There is an Angry birds like video game hidden in Excel!!! It was meant to be an Easter egg in Excel 2010 (and 2013), but due to backlash from senior management no one ever published the details about it.

while the analysis is on point, i think the lessons to learn from it are much less arcane and it would behoove UI designers to periodically take a step back from that level and focus on how the overall dynamic engages the intuitive faculties of the user. what i think appeals to many in angry birds is its direct correlation to a fundamental area of physics that we all constantly deal with on an extremely intuitive level, that being ballistics. pair that straightforward, real-world concept with the more complex yet similarly intuitive house-of-cards targets that hold promise of thrilling chain reaction victories and you have a simple yet impossible to master scenario, very much like golf. to me the mystery and SM management simply represent ways of including randomness and further calling on the intuitive faculties of the game player

Most people are right handed and want to launch the birds with their right hands, so when you do use your index finger of your right hand on say the iPad version of Angry Birds, as you pull back the slingshot, your hand obscures the play area which is annoying and makes me tilt the iPad at an angle in order to not have my palm obscure the pigs as much when I launch birds.

We store things in our subconscious mind as we grow up from childhood to adulthood. The angry bird game uncovers our likeness to hit the target and the whole world is running on targets, if you observe very closely.

Very deeply analyzed.
But i feel that we all thought of birds as someone which needs protection, and when someone who is week fought back everyone appreciate them unknowingly. And also most of the people are dominated in this world. I think they relate themselves with angry birds.

MONTAGNE: What you're hearing is the sound from the hit iPhone game, "Angry Birds." Picture adorable cartoon birds being shot at pigs and other obstacles. Apparently the birds are angry because the pigs stole their eggs.
