Is it possible to, or is it an intended future addition to be able to have open images in multiple undockable windows? I frequently want to cut and paste from one image to another / edit images side by side and I don't see a way to do this currently.

Hi, I love Paint.NET. I use it all the time, and have donated. Could you please consider making it possible to be able to see two images at the same time? I would really like to see both at the same time, for instance today I am trying to reverse-engineer a fuzzbox I made 20 years ago, by looking at the front and the back of the circuit card at the same time, and tag the parts I have scribed into the schematic with a transparent yellow mark on each image. It makes me lose my orientation to have to click between the single images. Please look into having multiple windows. Thanks!

I cannot open my microsoft paint and the same pop up keeps occurring. Adobe Acrobat cannot start the image editing application you've specified. Verify the image editing application location on the Content Editing panel in Preferences".

before anyone asks this is a general thing ive got plenty of systems ive tested this with two of them are high end with a 3080 gpu and a i7 11th gen and another one with a 4060 and a ryzen 9 zen4 both perform the same on windows 10 and 11

I do not know if this is a recurring question or thread, but i want to share how unusable krita feels on windows compared to actual windows native apps, there`s a small maybe 3 millisecond lag difference that maybe it is not seen in video but, try anyway, krita without any brush stabilization is still slower than native Photoshop brushes and paint, cross compare and check yourself

as i say i doubt very much it can be seen but this is a 1024x 1024 canvas on krita on wich the pen cursor lags behind the pen, so it might look fine but to me it feels so much snappier on paint , also photoshop feels just like paint to me

why does photoshop, paint and krita on kubuntu feel just as snappy on a normal 60 hz display? this should be fixed still! im glad i found a fix but i do not enjoy using more battery life just so krita keeps up, and the other pcs i have will not have this fix nor the xpen artist 13.3 as it display is 60 hz

When we got the first computer on our hands, as a kid, we were intrigued with MS paint. It was the one application that made us aware that digitally we could unleash our creativity. All of us, especially the 90s kids were a bit disheartened when we learned that Microsoft will stop supporting MS paint very soon, in order to promote Paint 3D, that comes with windows 10. Although Paint is still available in Windows, eventually Microsoft plans to remove it permanently and only keep it as a Windows store product for users who still wants to use MS Paint.

Those of us who still want to make MS Paint a part of their life, the next best thing is in store. Behold MS Paint online. It is an easy to use web-based application, the look and feel of which is exactly like MS Paint. Not only that, the user interface of MS Paint online resembles the version of MS Paint used in older versions of windows. With the color pallet located at the bottom and classical sidebar icons, the app promises you the old Windows Classic experience. I personally checked out the tool and found it working properly in all major browsers without any cross-browser compatibility issues.

We have this problem at work every time the painters come through. Do NOT be tempted to hit the frame with a hammer as this will crack the glass (personal experience) Personally I have used a paint scraper/ putty trowel (best) and at other times a bread and butter knife to wedge between the sliding part and the frame and slowly worked my way around the edges. At times I've had to tap the trowel/ knife gently in using a hammer. Start in one spot and work your way around often it will crack the paint ahead of you. Once you get it open you will find the more you open and close it the more paint gets knocked out of the way and the easier it is to open. Remember windows have 2 sides and be gentle. JDE

It's great that you've received excellent advice from @JDE. Would it be possible for you to post a photo of the full window frame? This will give our members a good idea of your window's current condition. We can then offer you possible methods of how to open your window. I recommend breaking the paint bond in the corner where the sliding window begins and meets the edge of the window frame. I suggest using a Stanley Knife. Please be careful not to cut too deeply or you will damage the timber frame.

Once you've broken the paint bond, you need to induce movement, I recommend using an Ozito 2000W Variable Temperature Heat Gun. The heat of the gun will do two things. First, it will soften the paint, allowing you to shake the frame loose. Second, it will dry off any excess moisture that's in the wood, thereby shrinking it and allowing you to loosen up the frame. The heat gun kit comes with a paint scraper, gently insert this into the gap of the timber all around as you gently pry the frame lose, make sure that you shoot it with the heat gun while using the scraper.

All good ideas from @EricL and @JDE , here is a last resort idea, if you have a multi tool, you could cut along the painted edges of the widows to separate the the painted joints. You shouldn't have to go in very deep, I think the Stanley blade would do the trick as suggested by @EricL @JDE

The painting process we use to coat our products is unlike typical painting. If cared for properly, the factory finish can last a lifetime (Care & Maintenance Instructions). A brief explanation of the wet paint process follows:

First, every stick of aluminum is sanded by hand to remove surface debris before it is chemically pre-treated to allow the paint to bond. Only Fleetwood applies the additional step of sanding to achieve the most luxurious finish.

Second, the paint is applied by robotic arms while it is electrically charged. Most colors require two coats to achieve proper quality, but brighter colors (XL Exotic) require a third coat, which is clear to maintain the sharpness of the color. The only paint Fleetwood offers is best known as Kynar 500. This paint has a unique ingredient of 70% fluoropolymer resin, which is designed to retain color integrity in the harshest environments. However, in dark colors such as black and statuary bronze, we use 50% fluoropolymer with no change in warranty.

Finally, each stick of aluminum is heat-treated at about 400F to cure the paint, and then packaged and delivered to production. If any extrusion requires a thermal break, we insert the thermal material (polyurethane or polymide) before delivering to production.

I love doing this when it is the weather is less than perfect. What a nice way to experience stormy, tempestuous weather -- making art. You could also use the weather to make this rain painting art project!

For Designer Series windows and/or patio doors with a hinged glass panel, the warranty does not require you to finish underneath this panel. However, if you choose to finish this area underneath, it will accept paint or stain. If finishing the surface, DO NOT remove the hinged glass panel; just open it and finish the visible wood. Close the panel immediately when finished (it will not stick).

Paint is a simple raster graphics editor that has been included with all versions of Microsoft Windows. The program opens, modifies and saves image files in Windows bitmap (BMP), JPEG, GIF, PNG, and single-page TIFF formats. The program can be in color mode or two-color black-and-white, but there is no grayscale mode. For its simplicity and wide availability, it rapidly became one of the most used Windows applications, introducing many to painting on a computer for the first time.

The version of Paint in Windows 7 and later features a ribbon in its user interface.[10] It also features "artistic" brushes composed of varying shades of gray and some degree of transparency that give a more realistic result. To add to the realism, the oil and watercolor brushes can only paint for a small distance before the user must re-click (this gives the illusion that the paintbrush has run out of paint). In addition, Paint can now undo up to 50 subsequent changes. It also has anti-aliased shapes, which can be resized freely until they are rasterized when another tool is selected. This version supports viewing (but not saving) transparent PNG and ICO file formats and saves files in the .png file format by default.
