The Dreamegg D11 is a portable white noise machine that parents will make the best use of. It has a dimmable nightlight, 11 sounds including lullabies, and a rechargeable internal battery that makes it convenient for placement in the bedroom and travel.

For adults, the main appeal would be the loud maximum volume, which is very impressive for such a compact device. However, five of the eleven soundtracks are clearly intended for children, leaving just six options for adults.

Please note that this written review is not an exact transcript of my video above. The video focuses a lot on unboxing the Dreamegg D11 and going through the instructions. And both of those are more interesting to watch than read I think.

I think the vacuum, fetal tone and shushing recordings could have been a bit gentler. But I imagine on a low volume, some kids will like them. As for the fan and white noise sounds, these are both good as they are at the deeper end of the spectrum. I personally find deeper white noise more relaxing than bright white noise.

As for the speaker quality, the sounds are really clear. The melodies are crisp, and the nature options sound realistic and relaxing to listen to. There was no speaker distortion that I could tell, even on louder volumes.

The internal battery, which is recharged using the USB to micro-USB cable provided, is one of the best features of the Dreamegg. You can leave it plugged in if you prefer, but the option to place it anywhere in a room and move it around easily is great.

I also like the fact that they have separate buttons for the sound choice and volume. Some devices combine them, and you have to either tap or long hold, which I find irritating personally. So for me, the interface of the Dreamegg is just about perfect.

I might be wrong, but I imagine most people would prefer to have more than five or six sounds to choose from, especially considering there are many white noise machines that have 20, 30 or even more.

The Dreamegg D11 is an effective white noise machine that the parents of young children will appreciate most. The nightlight, good incremental volume controls, and the option to use it without a cable make it a convenient device for parents. And there are enough relaxing sounds to choose from that there should be at least one or two that children like listening to.

I live just outside the city, and by that, I mean that my apartment is close enough to get where I need within 20 minutes, but not too close that I am kept awake at night by the noise. The dream situ IMO because yes, I am a seriously light sleeper, which is why I was very happy to try a white noise machine. That and I am expecting a small human towards the end of this year, and I have had so many parents tell me to invest in a good white noise machine. Now, I can't comment about how handy it is with a baby (yet), but I will say that before the baby has even arrived I am totally convinced. So much so that I now own three (two of which are portable) because a bit like my pregnancy pillow, I need to take this thing everywhere with me. IYKYK.

Rated Amazon's Choice of white noise machines, the Dreamegg D1 truly is a game changer, whether you are a parent, parent-to-be, or not. Take it from me, someone who isn't a very good sleeper and hasn't been for years, this Dreamegg white noise machine has transformed the way I sleep. It has undoubtedly made early mornings a lot easier. And I always wake feeling well-rested when I use it overnight. Both my husband and I agree that we notice the difference in how we feel in the morning when we forget to turn it on.

Here's how I got on with testing this white noise machine, which I have been using for almost a month now to lull me to sleep. Spoiler alert: I also love the thunderstorm sound as it truly gets me to sleep in minutes. And waking up hearing this sound during the early hours of the morning makes it so easy for me to fall back into dreamland.

The only thing I can possibly complain about is the fact it doesn't have a remote, but honestly, that's just because I am lazy (and quite pregnant) and it sits on my husband's nightstand so I have to lean across to switch it off if we forget to set it on a timer. Otherwise, do note that its light isn't super bright. You couldn't use it for reading but it would guide you back to your bed from the bathroom. I also have a nightstand lamp so this isn't a huge issue for me. You also can't use the light unless the noise is on.

I reviewed this white noise machine for just under a month, using it in my bedroom to help my husband and me get to sleep. We used it most nights we were at home during that period, changing the sounds that we used and trying all of its features. This is my first white noise machine review, so admittedly I don't have anything to compare this device to. However, I did conduct a bunch of research before writing and made sure to compare it to other popular models when it comes to functions and price tag.

As with everything we review, we make sure to pair our reviewer and the product we need to review to ensure these two factors will suit. I reviewed this white noise machine as it's said to be great for babies, and I have a baby on the way. It's also small and that's what I needed for my small nightstand.

I emailed the company about this, who replied pretty quickly and sent me one for free. On the plus side, you can use the cable to plug it into any USB outlet or any other five volt power adapter that you already have.

One of the key features of the Dreamegg D3 Pro is that it has an internal rechargeable lithium battery. It takes around two hours to charge and I found that it easily lasts over eight hours, so you can leave it playing continuously and it will last all night.

That explains why I found that it did a very good job of blocking out external noise, such as birds and traffic outdoors or tv and music from another room. So all in all, I think that the sound options, the volume, and the speaker quality are very good, especially for this price.

In their response to my email, they said someone must have forgotten to pack it in the box. However, when I bought the original Dreamegg D3, they told me it was intended to be portable and that the USB cable should be sufficient, and also offered to send me a power adaptor for free. This is clearly a completely different explanation for the same issue.

My final verdict is that the Dreamegg D3 Pro is a decent little white noise machine with a lot to like. It has some useful features that make it practical to use in the bedroom. And I think it has a good range of sounds and a better speaker than the original Dreamegg D3.

I do think that perhaps the parents of young kids are going to make the best use of it, specifically because there are several sounds which probably only little kids are going to listen to. However, there are plenty of sounds that also adults will enjoy.

There are so many new products on the market for babies since I had my two. Working in a nursery means I get to keep a grasp on new products that parents are using. One product I have seen more and more of our parents using recently are white noise machines. I remember when my two were little these were just inside of teddys or toys. One of the downsides I used to find is that they would stay on for long enough. My two would just fall to sleep and it would finish and they would scream.

This is where the Dreamegg white noise machine comes in. The Dreamegg white noise machine looks smart and stylish but is there to help your little one fall to sleep. The Dreamegg comes with 21 soothing sounds, a timer, volume levels and a memory function.

The white and grey design of the speaker means that it will fit in with all different nursery designs. Most people want something that primarily works for its purpose and also looks nice. The Dreamegg is both of these. The 21 different sounds are calming and relaxing. The sounds range from traditional white noise sounds, heartbeat sounds and also lovely lullabies.
