Dear Sarah,
A couple weeks ago we sent out a survey
asking parents what they might like to see in
what might be Loudoun County's first charter
school. The feedback has been tremendous and is
helping us decide the type of charter school
that might best fit Loudoun County's
needs.
Meanwhile, we're still working to schedule
other parent meetings around Loudoun County.
Our next event is scheduled for
Wednesday, February 9th from 7 to 9 p.m. at the
Lovettsville Community
Center. We've secured meeting space
there and hope to continue the dialog with
interested parents. We'll take the time to tell
you a little bit more about Imagine Schools and
its curricular approaches. But most importantly
we want to hear from you. We want to hear your
ideas.
We want to hear about the type of charter
school you might like to see proposed in Loudoun
County. Do you want to see a specialty
curricular focus, such as a Science, Technology,
Engineering and Mathematics (STEM),
Environmental, Classical Academy or
International Baccalaureate (IB) approach? Do
many Loudoun County parents want a full-day
kindergarten option? What grade levels might you
like to see a charter school serve?
Finally, if you'd like to host a parent
meeting in your community, please don't hesitate
to let us know.
Best regards,
Roy Gamse
Executive Vice President
