I'm co-coaching a youth bball team this winter @ the Col Heights Youth Center. We're having a fundraiser date auction next Thursday (1/12) from 6:30-9p @ Local 16. Hi guys,

This shouldn't be the first you are hearing about this (I apologize if it is), but likely you forgot about it over break!  The start of basketball season is right around the corner, and we are having a fundraiser to raise funds for basketball and other things going on at the youth center.  We are auctioning off some of our coaches and volunteers for dates (Andrew Simpson, Patrick Zhou, Ben DeCoudres, Jason Knapp. Ashley Jennings, Jodie Klein, Emily Huie, and Kortney Parman).  Not only do you HAVE to come, but we need your help bringing out your friends!  We don't want any of our brave volunteers go unbid on!  Below is the information and attached is a letter for those who want to know more:

WHO: You and your friends

WHAT: Date Auction Happy Hour

WHEN: Thursday, January, 12th, 2012 630pm-9pm

WHERE: Local 16 (www.localsixteen.com)

WHY: For the youth in Columbia Heights!

Also, for those of you who are wondering what we do in January/Feb....we generally take this time to deepen our relationships with kids by hanging out with them one-on-one, going to sports matches, smaller bible studies,  hanging at the rec, etc.  Club wont start again for at least another month:)
