I'm going to be teaching at McPherson Square a week from Sunday. I
hope you can make it. I'll be heading down that way after the second
service (and brunch somewhere) and I would love for any of you to join
me. It is sponsored by Occupy Faith DC.
Sunday, Dec. 11 at 1:30 pm, Andrew McLeod, author of Holy
Cooperation!: Building Graceful Economies will present a teach-in
style presentation including:
1) Introduction - what are co-ops, what do they have to do with
religion, and how can they help build on the Occupy movement?
2) Cooperatives and resistance in the three Abrahamic faiths -
theology and practice of each (will also briefly address other
traditions)
3) Applying the lessons - small group discussions based on interests
expressed by group.
Weather and law enforcement action permitting, this will be held on
the south side of McPherson Square, at 15th & K NW.
I am also tentatively repeating this teach-in at 1:30 on Sunday Dec 18
at Freedom Plaza (13th & Pennsylvania). Stay tuned!
On another note, at group last night I mentioned something I read
about Sabbath, and Austin encouraged me to send it to everyone.

And if anyone is interested, I recently blogged (tangentially) about
this at www.nehemian.wordpress.com.
Blessings,
