Hello friends,
I was asked again recently if there is a Chinese or Korean equivalent of JapanKnowledge. A e-reference collection of dictionaries and encyclopedias. I couldn’t think of anything but I would dearly love to have it. Does anyone subscribe to something similar?
JapanKnowledge works well with the Ebsco Discover package by the way. I am enjoying it.

Hi Sharon,
Not an exact same type of product as JapanKnowledge, but I found the Reference Collection in China Digital Library (Apabi) and China Reference Works Online (CNKI) are the closest equivalents.
UCSD has access to the Apabi product. If you subscribe to CNKI’s CAJ, you can navigate to the reference package to see how it looks and searches. The access stops at the full text level.

Friends,
I noticed yesterday that the China Academic Journals website has changed, and while I was looking at it, I saw a link to a new card system. This kind of debit card is something that I had wanted for a while so that we could purchase occasional access to statistical yearbooks or doctoral theses.
So... I am quite tempted. Has anyone tried it?

Also, we are coming up to our annual meeting. I expect we have lots to talk about and problem-solve. Have you got any questions?
