hey!
looks like spring is here to stay. with the fresh weather comes the most involved and ambitious small doses release yet. i am incredibly proud and happy to release the pyramids: wvndrkmmer 5 cassette box set. to celebrate this momentous occasion, there is a t-shirt available - only during the pre-order - with the box set. As you all likely have figured out, I don't typically like to do preorders. I hate the thought of taking people's money and keeping it through the production process, which can often be fraught with delays and problems. I made an exception this time for the sake of the t-shirts. everything but the shirts has been sent out for production. the cassettes are being made now. the printer has started all of the print pieces, and the other parts are in progress as well. I don't expect any delays or issues with these. Preorders will close in the beginning of May (or earlier if they sell out!), shirts will be ordered, and all should be shipping by the middle of the month at the latest. You guys are getting the first notification about these. To be honest, I don't know what to expect, but given all of the heavy hitters involved in the set (not to mention the artist copies), these could go really fast. I would recommend getting your order in as quickly as possible. (Also, the first bunch of preorders will get a free pyramids button.)

pyramids (hydra head records) provided each of the 52 artists participating in the project four different audio clips - not so much a song, but four separate, cooperating textures. each artist was asked to create an entirely new piece of music incorporating what they wished from the provided sounds, whatever techniques they wanted to employ,and whatever additions they wished to make. wvndrkmmer contains 52 tracks from 52 different artists on 5 cassettes with a total run time over 6 hours. the total edition is 300 copies - 100 copies of the 'red' edition and 200 of the 'black' edition. the 'red' copies will go to the first 100 preorders.
The t-shirts will be printed on American Apparel Cranberry colored shirts. Silver print on the front, black on the back. S-XL available. Be sure to specify the correct size when ordering.
