The first time I heard Melbourne, Australia's Whitehorse was back around 2006 when I picked up their Live at Sinkagura release from their home label Sweat Lung. That thing blew me away. I've been following them ever since and always hoped to find a way to work with them. Their 2012 US tour ended up being that way. The band and I scrambled to get this disc out in time for their shows and it came out awesome. This amazing live recording captures Whitehorse at their best. Their sound has been refined over the years, becoming a focused and intense doom laden with noise. Many of their fans feel that Whitehorse truly shines in their live recordings. This is their best yet.

It had been a while since a piece of drone music comepletely blew me away. I have to admit that I was starting to think I was getting bored with the genre. Then ot of the blue, an email from someone I had never encountered before arrived offering me a piece of music for release. That piece was Lost Days. It was such a breath of fresh air. It sounds majestically simple on the surface, but as the sound continues, it expands and deepens, finding very dark places while always keeping the light in view. It is expansive and beautiful, taking the listener on an incredible journey over it's 24 minutes.
