Since I know little to nothing about these devices, could someone give me a recommendation on an IT1500 from Inspired Tech (see attachment) as a solution to a few of our dorm rooms, located mostly below ground level, which tend to harbor mold and mildew. It is an on-going problem and we are hoping this will eliminate or at least mitigate the issue. Thanks for you help.

I had a similar unit (not your brand) which I though was a perfect solution except our model created too much ozone in the room. Too much ozone is a health hazard. I would make sure the unit I bought did not create more ozone than in the literature. This was a few years back so they may have better models out on the market now.

Coming from the humidity of Florida generally air purifiers will help with an existing problem however the only long term option that I’ve found that will work in subterranean rooms in Georgia is dehumidification and ensuring proper air circulation. Here in FL we don’t have any basements however still have plenty of mold due to humidity and the same remedies tend to be the workable solution with far less recurring cost than an air purifying systems.
