I am pleased to announce the 2nd Annual Best Practices in Higher Ed Emergency Management Conference on March 11-13, 2014, at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga campus. We are excited to bring another round of innovative and best practice focused presentations to the Higher Ed community. This year’s conference will focus again on the sharing of campus specific tools and applications of best practices, lessons learned, and innovative solutions that apply directly to campus emergency management functions.
Please Save the Date for March 11-13, 2014, and join us in Chattanooga, the scenic city. Attendance is encouraged for emergency management practitioners but also staff from various campus departments such as campus safety and security, risk management, non-emergency management staff, local agencies, state/federal partners, nonprofit and volunteer agencies, and independent companies that work with higher ed.
I am pleased to share the Call for Presentations. We encourage and will prioritize presentations that provide tools, templates, applications, procedures, draft plans and reports that attendees can apply to their own campus. Not a day-to-day emergency manager? That’s ok—share your best practices with us, too! We encourage non-emergency management staff to send proposals that focus on how academics or administration compliment campus emergency management.
Missed the 1st Annual conference this year? Check out the presentations for a preview of the invaluable information sharing that takes place at this incredible networking event that promises to boast innovative solutions to improve your day to day operations on campus. We will host an exhibit hall again this year, details to come…
Hope to see you there!
