Hello Everyone,
We're pleased to say that all preorders have been shipped!
Thanks to everyone who purchased games, and for being so very patient
with us through the delays and setbacks. This was our largest release
to date, and I'm happy to say that the "real" preorder system worked
great. However, it was a bit more of a challenge with so many
different games and the various components for each game.
Included in some of the games are separate rules for two players.
While we didn't post these, they're in there. We're also working on
doing an alternate rule set for Micornesia, that can accomodate two to
four players. The four player rules and faq for Dirge, while they
didn't ever get posted to BGG, are included in the games.
Additionally, while they didn't make it into the final version, we
have stream-lined three player rules for Chronalyst. The rules
included in Chronalyst will function just fine with three players, but
the dedicated three player rules just work better. These things will
be posted soon.
In the meantime, now that all of the games are out, we can start
focusing on what's to come for the rest of 2009 and Small Box Games.
For starters, we will be at GenCon this August. We will be in the
VixenTor Games' booth, so if you're going to be there, stop by and say
hello, and if there's a game of ours you haven't tried, we'd be glad
to run you through a demo of it. We won't have anything new to
showcase, but there are plenty of new things coming down the pipeline
for the remainder of the year.
For the rest of the year, and possibly into early 2010 depending on
how everything pans out, we'll be stepping away from our normal card
plus components type games, and focusing on pure card games. We have
a new, for lack of a better term, system we're working on, and should
be online by late fall/early winter. We'll have more information
about this system in the upcoming weeks. We're really excited about
it, and we think you will be, too. Our card games will be at a
similar price point as Sweet Teeth.
In closing, we truly hope you enjoy your games, and for the many of
you who ordered something from us for the first time, we hope to see
your name again the next time we're addressing boxes, and for those of
you who have been around for the past year or longer, thanks for
sticking around. Without you, we wouldn't still be doing this!
Thanks!
John Clowdus
