Currently with Optus (2 Years) but will go back to Vodafone with the new 15PM 512gb. Looking at pre-ordering tomorrow at 10pm. Anyone have experiences etc? Last time I pre-ordered with Vodafone was back with iPhone 4 & 5.
Contacted them on live chat this morning to see if I could keep my old $50 lite and $45 lite SIM only plans which ended after 12 months this month and get new iPhone 15's. The plans are grandfathered, so I would have to upgrade to the new plans (Small and Medium). However, I was offered a discounted price of $47.25 for the M plan and $43.50 for the S plan, which I took and completed the upgrade. They then arranged a call back for 10pm tonight to have the new iPhones added to these plans. They didn't let me go for two S plans at $43.50 each though.
You can have a new device added to existing plan even if grandfathered. They did this for me a month ago.
They just don't want to do it because sales reps get more commission for recontract upgrades.
It says on the upgrades hub as well you can call to have a new device added to existing plan. Depends who you get. You won't be able to get any pre order bonus credit tradein offer if that is available this way though.
Also if you have hot offer upgrades on your service my understanding is they are strongly incentivised to push these. Usually they offer a bit more data but you spend a few more $ per month for the plan.. be careful with these though, they make up new plans which aren't even on the website just to make it appear like you are getting a swell deal...!
i tried to order and port my number over and got an order number email at 10:07pm but they wanted more information on me to proceed. looks like i missed a call from them around midnight so i'll have to call back today and see where i go from here
I've used Voda for the past few years in Brisbane and coverage has been fine. Voice quality has been better than Optus and at par with Telstra. Data coverage has been fine but I also don't out into the country but CBD / suburbs are fine. This is an ongoing deal by the way for the $1000 off and the Apple trade in works in the form of an Apple gift card, so should be able to combine both. I took advantage of this deal late last year when it was $69 for 24 months for 150GB of data.

Just remembered I had a Vodafone prepaid sim in the drawer from an old ozbargain deal. Can use it for a week and see what the coverage is like. Have family visiting from the Uk next week so perfect time to activate it too so they can use it while here.
It's funny how the device gets added to your account even before it's shipped.. as it shows in the My Vodafone (ha ha) app. I presume this means they have actual stock of the item and a device has been allocated (in such a case)?
All it means that you are paying for the device installment and your installment cycle has started. So if you are on a 36 month contract, you billing for the device MPP has already started even though you may receive your device 2 months later. Device gets allocated when you get a proof of purchase with IMEI number? Did you receive it?
Nope, but a Vodafone store had updated the account email address incorrectly a couple weeks prior and I only noticed after ordering, so some random internet user has potentially received personal details.. address.. account number. .. etc

This is the 4th iphone I am getting on a 12 month downpayment (so I am ready for the next phone in a year :)) and the tracking means little. It always arrives at launch day when you order at the start of preorder time. My problem is with StarTrack. I live in a apartment building and work from home. They never ring my doorbell but always dump it in the local post office claiming I was not home..
I was told that the support team has no idea about the status of our deliveries. I was also told that everyone that preordered on the night should receive theirs on release day and everyone who bought the next day after would receive theirs a week from then.

But when I logged into the auspost app there is a package registered with startrack that is processing. For those stuck on the same status check the mypost app and you might see the package there.
My status with vodafone is still unchanged. However using the auspost app I get a startrack tracking number with the following history:

I was just on live chat as my order still hasn't updated. I was told that it's being prepared for delivery and should arrive in next 24/48hrs. Love chat crashed before I could ask for a Startrack tracking number. So we all have hope for today!
Yeah I have. The status of my tracking went from Being Prepared for Delivery since Wednesday straight to On It's Way with a StarTrack/AusPost tracking number early this morning that showed delivery for Monday then an hour later changed to "is now onboard for delivery" for today.
I just contacted live chat. They said that they will try to deliver by the 30th of sept but the max date is 3/11.
I told them that if I did not get the phone by the 30th, that I would cancel my order.
WTF seriously Vodafone? Just gave customer care an earful. Now they are saying there is a delay with the Pro Max, but they waited until release date to tell people that? Previously assuring us (me atleast) that I will get it on release day (not once but twice).
Just got delivery of my PM in blue 256gb. I asked a mate who works at Telstra and they didn't get much stock for the store. They got like 3 NT PM which for a release day launch seems like nothing maybe those rumours about production delays were true for the Pro models.
Not sure if anyone else has had an issue, but here is my current timeline:
- Ordered PM NAT 128GB on pre order, confirmed my order via text at 10:02pm.
- Never received a confirmation email, only the text.
- Only tracking number i received was for the sim card which i wont be using.
- Call Voda on Thursday to be told i needed to do a credit check (after being with them for 9 years).
- Call Voda back with my credit check and was told that the guy said the wrong information and my order was fine.
- Called Voda this morning and was told the logistics team will send me a tracking number when they open (at 10am)
- Called back after 10am and asked for more information, spoke to customer care supervisor who said she will call me at 1pm.
- Never received a call, called back and was told that my order was submitted, but never processed. After being on the phone for an hour i was sent to the resolution team to investigate further.. he told me he can see my order and it was one of the first to be confirmed at pre-order and he will escalate it, BUT i could go into any Vodafone stores and see if they have stock (cause i haven't wasted enough time already). Gave him till 12pm Saturday to get back to me with my order number, tracking details and when the phone will be arriving, or will cancel my entire plan.
Ordered NT Pro 128GB at 10:09PM on pre order day. Had issues and needed to call them but apparently everything was fine. It's been sitting in Ready for Dispatch all week with the 20th then it changed to today as the date. Received a dispatch confirmation at midday today and have a tracking number but it's not active yet. Do Startrack deliver on a Saturday or will I be waiting until Monday?
I still don't have a tracking number. I'm a new customer who ordered on th 15th at 11pm. My order changed from 'being prepared for delivery on 18/09' to '25/09' only 2 days ago. Absolutely ridiculous. Who knows if it's even going to arrive today.

Mine got stuck on preparing to ship and have been saying that since Wednesday last week, Today it got delivered. Still no updates on the Vodafone tracker. This is a NT Pro MAX 512GB ordered 10.15pm on the 19th.
I had a similar issue last time, reached them on Twitter (X) @VodafoneAU, explained the ordeal, they asked me to receive the device but DO NOT OPEN THE PACKAGE. they created a return order in their system and then had me drop it off to a nearby 'official' Vodafone store. They gave me a return receipt and within a few days, the amount and charge was waived off from my account.
Anyone also ordered an Apple Watch with their iPhone? My iPhone (256 Natural Pro Max) order changed to 'ready to ship' last night but then went back to 'waiting for more stock' but the date changed from the 22nd to the 26th. But my watch hasn't changed and is still stuck on the 22nd. I'm worried they're waiting for both of the devices to become available before they ship them together.
Last year, I remember my shipping estimate was about a month later, but it was delivered way before then. Vodafone regularly get new stock in, so in all likelihood phones will be delivered much sooner.
Also, I have confirmed with two different team members (live chat and phone call) that if your order was placed before the trade-in bonus expires, you will still get the bonus even if you receive your new phone after the expiry date.
