Dear Fathers,

Greetings of grace-filled Lenten season!  I wish and pray that all of you are doing well in your various ministry places. May this Lenten period be a source of strength.

As you all know that I have been pursuing masters degree in Counselling Psychology.  I began my study in the year 2016. Now I am in my final year as I have been specialised in individual, group and Marital family therapy.  I will be finishing by 12th of May. As part of the completion of my study I am required to do psychological research paper.  Here is the topic for my research. 

“Burnout and resilience among the priests of SMA”.  

It’s a quantitative study which requires some data collection.  This study will help me find out the impact of burnout and the different coping strategies and self care plans that are used by our confreres in order to remain positive and healthy both physically and psychologically.  

I am requesting 5 minutes of your precious time to through the attachment that I have sent.  It contains 3 documents:

1. Consent form: A request form to all the participants of this research to participate.  It also speaks of the confidentiality.  The information collected will be kept confidential.  If you wish to keep your name anonymous you can do so.  

2. Burnout psychological scale: it’s a standardised psychological scale to measure burnout

3. Resilience scale: this too is a standard psychological scale to measure resilience.

The data collection gathered will be analysed and converted into numerical data which will be included in my research.

I am planning to finish my research paper by the end of this month. Hence, I beg of your cooperation to participate actively in this research.
