Hi Jason,

I had exactly the same 'bad timestring' problem as you, with the same setup as you - Raspberry Pi and SMA SB4000TL-20 inverter!  I tried everything exhaustively and it was driving me nuts, and still couldn't get it working so gave up in the end.  I can't be certain, but I came to the conclusion that probably one or more of the bluetooth queries was incompatible with my inverter.  "sma-spot" on the the hand worked on the first attempt, so I suggest you give that a go.

Hello Everyone

I'm just about to give up so if anyone can help I'd appreciate it.

I am attempting to get sma-bluetooth running on a raspberry pi running wheezy retrieving information from a 4000TL.

I have tried a few things now as first I was receiving a "string not found" message, then "bad extracting timestring" message after changing some info on line 58 of sma.in.new. I have since started fresh by reloading everything. So now I'm receiving the "bad extracting timestring" message.

I have read that this message can be related to the password not being correct but I have verified that.

Attached is the debug log.

If anyone would like more information please ask. I would really like to get this working.

Jason
